  Nathaniel arrived at the building his friend was at and stepped out of the car. Something felt off. He couldn't pin-point it for the life of him; but he had to stay on high alert. As he made his way inside; he noticed the one of the hinges to the door was missing. He shook his head, closed the door behind him and made his way up the stairs. As he continued upward, he flipped open his cell-phone. There wasn't a signal in this place either. That struck him as odd.
  
  When he arrived at room 67; he lightly knocked on the door. He could hear his friend shuffling about inside. When his friend opened the door; Nathaniel took a small intake of breath. It looked as if this man hadn't slept in two days. "Come in." The man said; motioning him to sit on the blue velvet couch that was in the living room. "So Joshua; explain to me what happened?" Nathaniel sat down a recording device on the table; and leaned back. Joshua sat directly across from him; gripping his hands together tightly. "Last night; when I got home me and Calem got into a fight. It was over petty teenager bulls--- like we used to do to our parents. Well, he didn't like my response and stormed off to his room. I thought everything was fine, but when he didn't come out; even for his nightly snack run...that's when I knew something was wrong." Joshua took a deep breath; and Nathaniel noticed his body shake. "I know you're going through a lot, just having lost your son; but do you mind if you can continue for me?"
  
  Joshua nodded and lit a cigarette. Nathaniel personally didn't like the choice, but to each there own. "When he didn't come out of his room, I went to his bedroom to see if he was there. When I opened his door, I found the window open. I felt panic set in at that moment, and ran into the living room. I grabbed my jacket and a pair of shoes and made my way downstairs. I spent the better half of the night looking for him; but I couldn't find him....it wasn't until after I got back home I heard anything had happened..."
  
  Nathaniel sat up and clasped his hands together. Joshua looked at him for a moment; tears brimming on his eyes. "I need just a moment.." He said softly; getting up and heading to the kitchen. Why would anyone have motive to hurt Joshua; or his kid?
