Welcome to the country of The Internet, with Facebook as its capital city. Each city, each town, has its own culture, and in this story, we focus on a small town near Discord, closer to Quotev.
Welcome to Gotoquiz. In other cities there are many jobs to choose from, but here people usually work on creating surveys, quizzes, and poles in exchange for privileges in the town. Other jobs include acting, writing, running the town, working at the local stores and restaurants, and more.
The town is run by a mayor by the name of G.T.Q. Guy, but few ever see him unless they work for City Hall. The town is better associated with the City Hall Staff, who they fondly refer to as Moderators or Mods for short. The majority of well known Gotoquiz citizens are part of large and complicated families within the town, with some questionable family trees here and there. Best not to draw them all out.
I remember this town quite fondly, I came here at twelve or thirteen years old, can’t really remember, but I knew of their quiz services and that’s how I knew to come here. I was a very lonely person, who had been hurt by those that thought I was too much. No matter what I did, I was too much for other people, so I decided to be too much on purpose. Well, that did cause me some trouble in this town, but it made me some very good friends as well. Being a small town, however, it was common for my friends to move to other towns, or leave Internet all together. I made new friends at Discord, and moved there for awhile, but after going through a broken heart, I figured I should try to get back to my roots. After all, no matter how many abandoned houses I own here, this feels like home.
I started out by sleeping in the theatre, I’ve been doing that for the past few nights, getting back into my acting job. Now it’s time to try and find my place again, so off I go to mingle. Many friends I used to talk to are gone now, and there are so many new people. As I walk down the street and look around, I wonder who I should talk to first. An old friend like Spice or Prime? Or perhaps I should wait for someone else to approach me.
With that in mind I sit on a bench by The Living Room, a building that will likely go out of business one day, and I take out a book to read. -
Sunny, originally Summer, had moved to his current house in GoToQuiz a year ago. He had originally lived in YouTube with his three siblings, but couldn't handle having a job as a Gachatuber and moved. He got rid of his old identity so no one could find him, and somehow succeeded.
Now, he had started off by living in The Stage, meeting someone named Ethel, Nixie, Spice, and Emo. Sunny saw these four a lot before actually coming out of the building and making his own house.
Nowadays, Sunny lives in the countryside and rarely interacts with people unless they invite themselves over or if he has to go to his job. The city is slightly abandoned anyways, so that made him even more isolated.
Sunny sprinted down the sidewalk, casually floating through people in his way. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath.
"Why. . .didn't I. . .just. .teleport when I was at my. . .house. . ." He wheezed, pulling up a floating screen and looking at the time before continuing.
