George inhaled sharply, shaking his head. "Why did we do this? We both knew this was gonna happen,"
-
“I know, we just- wanted to try and make amends,” Clay said, resting his head on George’s. He exhaled, looking over at the door. He let go of George and gently moved him away, clenching his fists. “I’m gonna go talk to her,” he said, keeping his anger-filled stare on the door.
-
"No, Clay, don't," George said, picking up his head and furrowing his eyebrows. "Don't you dare,"
-
“So what am I supposed to do, just let her say sh-t like that about you?” Clay asked, looking back at George for a moment. He turned back towards the door, grabbing the doorknob and opening it, walking inside.
-
"Clay-" George said, following him in and grabbing his sleeve, trying to pull him back before his mom noticed they had come back it.
"What, already feeling apologetic?" His mom called from the other room, signifying George was too late, so he let go of Clay's sleeve, exhaling. -
“I’m not the one who’s gonna be apologizing, b—ch,” Clay said as he walked into the room George’s mother was, his voice growing louder. “I know you don’t like me, and I don’t give a f—k, but it’s pushing it if you think you can just say sh-t like that about George.”
-
"So you think you can come into my home, and argue about the way I'm trying to help my son rethink his life choices?" George's mom said, tilting her head slightly.
-
“Yes I f—king do, because he’s my boyfriend and you’re clearly not doing a good job of being his mother,” Clay retorted, glaring at the woman. “God, I feel really bad that George has to deal with you.”
-
(f--- this is a hard argument lmao-)
"George never had to deal with me, up until I called him about this whole predicament he avoided talking to me," She said, glaring right back at him. -
“Well, maybe if you were a more supportive mom rather than being a homophobic a—hole, then maybe George and I could actually be happy,” Clay said with an exasperated, sarcastic laugh, throwing his hands in the air, “but it sure as hell looks like that’s not happening.”
(lmao fr) -
"Well, you and George seemed to be pretty happy while I was out of his life, so maybe I should just get out of it," She said, scoffing. "Let you two live your fairytale little lives, even though George knows his mother isn't accepting of him. I'm sure George will love that,"
-
Clay groaned in frustration, rubbing his temples. “I- You know what, what’s the f—king point? You don’t like me and George together? Then- then I guess we should just- just break up! We should just break up to make you happy, shouldn’t we? Because it’s all about your happiness and that you control George’s f—king life when he’s a grown a— adult who should be able to make his own decisions.”
-
"He may be able to make his own decisions, but it doesn't mean I'll agree with them. You two showed up, uninvited, with less than a day's notice to try and make amends. And all I get is screamed at by his boyfriend, who is the problem. How do you think that's going to turn out?"
-
Clay exhaled, closing his eyes for a moment. “I- I’m f—king done,” he muttered, turning and walking back to George. He grabbed the brunette’s hand, walking out of the house.
-
George frowned, following him and trying to find words to ask what happened, but he couldn't bring himself to.
