"Still, I acted mostly alone. It's not fair you get punished for being my friend." Ash said. The office aid came out and said "The principal will see you two now." Ash stood up and walked in.

"Lifes not fair, usually" Ink replied, before sitting up when the aid came out. They carefully stood up, hopping out of the chair before following after Ash

Ash sat down in front of the principal's desk. The principal, Mr. Walshton, said "Well, well, well, Ashley Middleton. Why am I not surprised? What'd ya do this time? The classic collapsing table? Cherry bombing the toilets?" Ash answered "I spiked the prom punch. To make them all puke." Mr. Walshton sighed and asked "Did you help her, Kuriete?"

Ink rubbed their hands together nervously "kinda? I just kept watch for her" they said quietly

Mr. Walshton said "This is getting old, you two. And I have bigger problems to worry about. Just this morning our star quarterback, Rip Stalrod, was poisoned today. Someone spiked his protein shake with peanut butter, and him being allergic, suffered the worst reaction I've ever seen." Ash asked "Jeez, is he okay?" Mr. Walshton answered "He's fine, but he's certainly in no shape to play tonight's game against Aldor High." He then paused for a minute and said "Wait, I have an idea. Ms. Middleton, I'm putting you on the case." Ash asked "What?"

Ink blinked in confusion and tilted their head, playing with their wrist band again.

Mr. Walshton said "You heard me. You are gonna solve this mystery. It takes a delinquent to catch a delinquent and it's a better punishment then just detention again." Ash wasn't interested in solving mysteries so she asked "And if I don't want to do it." "Then I'll pin the blame on you two as punishment. Which will make you two the most wanted people on campus, and not in a good way."

Ink looked upset at that but didn't say anything, hunching over a little as they looked at Ash

Ash said "You can't do that to Ink, they didn't do anything." Mr. Walshton said "True, but you're not so innocent." Ash sighed and said "Fine, We'll figure it out." "Great, but you'll need this." Mr. Walshton said. He opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a Out-of-class pass for the both of them. He then said "You have till the end of the day. Get to it." and they both left.

Ink quietly followed after her, holding their pass as they seemed to be struggling to not fry

Ash let out "AAAAARRRGGH! Whatever, I guess we're stuck. We gotta figure this out. I suppose first stop should be the nurse's office to check on Rip. What do you think?"

Ink nodded in agreement, humming softly "that sounds good"

Ash said "Alright, follow me." and Ash led them to the nurse's office to talk to Rip. Once there, the nurse, Nurse Rochel, was sitting on a stool next to Rip, checking his blood pressure. She saw Ash and Ink come in and asked "Can I help you?" Ash said "We need to talk to Rip for a minute." Nurse Rochel asked "What for?"
