C1 is quite literally a deity. Their religion was forgotten as the world changed, and they changed and forgot how to feel.
C2 is a religious person, they've always believed in this one religion but were still very emotional and cared about others
C1 decides to go down to the world of the mortal people to see what's changed only to find they'd forgotten something, emotions. C2 finds C1 believing they are a run away and offers them a job a church. C1 accepts and decides here is where they'll discover what's missing

Irina stood above the world. It was her own dimension there, and it was empty. No gifts from worshippers, no souls of worshippers to protect and look after. Not even any other deities to talk to her.

Hazel was one of the hardest working workers there, and her boss still acted like she was the laziest. -
Irina knew the others left long ago, Maybe even started their own dimensions, but she remained. Until she realized she'd forgotten something. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't fathom what it might be.
