aiden woke up slowly, sitting up and rubbing his head

Ashton sat on her bed with a computer in front of her and papers scattered around her. She muttered quietly to herself, filling out papers. ``Jesus, I'm gonna be f--king broke...``

whats up?" he asked, to tired to care how worried he sounded

``D-mn bills and fees,`` Ashton muttered. ``This stupid landlord's a pain in the a--.. Like, seriously, give me a break. I'm in college and don't have a stable job, what'd you expect? I'd be able to pay the bills in an orderly time? No, that's not how that f--king works.``

he wanted her to stop complaining so he stood up and reached into his bedside drawers, pulling out a few hundreds and giving them to her, "does this help?" he asked

``Uh, hell yes?`` Ashton said in surprise, taking the money. ``Why- How do you have so much money?``

my dad gave me a bunch, and i just kinda, well, saved it" he responded

``Nice,`` she said, counting the money before grabbing an envelope, putting the money inside. She wrote something on it, smiling. ``Now he won't be on my tail for late fees.``

Aiden shrugged,"need anything else?"

``Uh, I don't think so,`` she said, putting more money into envelopes. ``I think those are all the bills we have for the time being.``

he stretched and went to go lay back down

She stood and walked out of the room, heading out of the apartment. She came back a while later, sighing. ``Well, he's still p--sed the fee's late, but at least it's paid.``

he nodded, scrolling on his phone

Ashton walked into the room, almost tripping. She frowned as she caught herself, seeing she tripped over Aiden's stuff. ``Please, keep your sh-t on your side of the room,`` she muttered, pushing his things over to his bed.
