Locking Doors
Plot by emy ♡
C1 has just moved to a small house in a tiny, isolated town- almost in the middle of nowhere. Why, you may ask? In an attempt to run away from their past, they needed to get away from their hometown and start new, at least for a while.
Located in this town is a mental and rehabilitation facility for those who have caused (or threatened to cause) harm against themselves or others.
One late night, the sirens begin to go off. A patient has escaped the asylum. This isn’t just any patient. They’re the deadliest.
This escaped prisoner, C2, is on the loose.
Residents are locking their doors, hiding, and even leaving town.
Once this news gets to C1, it’s too late. C2 has made their way into their area, and there is no help.
C1 is trapped, locked inside of their home, just hoping C2 won’t find a way in.
But maybe C2 isn’t all they’re made out to be.

Henley Andrea Harper whistled a tune as she drove down the narrow dirt road, leading to her new house. Every little bump symbolized her impatience for relief.
She sighed, rolling down the window of her red Chevrolet S10. The truck was once her father's, but now it belonged to her, and she vowed to keep it forever.
This was Henley's stop at the new house. In the truck was her last load of boxes from home, or what she use to call home.
Henley opened the door of her truck and carefully lifted a box from the bed, setting it down on the front porch. She looked up at the house. It was small, built very cabin-like. The outside exterior was made of stone and brick.
One by one, Henley took the boxes inside of the house. Soon enough, she was finished and began to unpack them. She had already unpacked everything else, so she was all set up and ready to go.
Henley bit her lip as she examined the wallpaper. It was a shade of light brown, adorned with little flowers and leaves. It looked old, and had a few tears in the corners.
Henley collapsed onto the sofa with a yawn. Finally, she could rest.
This was her home for the next twenty-four months. -
Alister walked into the room disguised as an electrician and shut off all the power. All the lights, all the alarm and security systems, everything. The problem that he had caused in the men's bathroom would no longer be as large an issue for the time being.
He ran as fast and silently as he could, his dark clothing making him blend in better with the shadows of the darkened hallways. Alister crawled through a window and dropped to the ground, running as if his life depended on it.
A distance later Alister tore off the shirt belonging to the electrician he had knocked out, wearing just the undershirt. He left the pants on, because frankly, running about in his underwear didn't seem a pleasant idea.
A few minutes later the power at the asylum was back on and alarms were blaring that one of the psychos there had escaped. -
Bumping this so I remember to respond .. // ♡

Henley was jolted awake by the sound of sirens. Her ears rung and she cringed indefinitely. “Oh god,” She whispered, realizing the meaning of the sirens.
Henley scattered in search for her phone. She dialed a few numbers, but her service was lost. She began to curse quietly, then rushed to lock her doors.
The situation was scary, but Henley believed she’d be alright. She sighed, looking around at all the boxes. “Shït,” she cursed, turning out the lights. She may be a bit away from the asylum, but she didn’t want it to look like anyone was home. -

Alister had hopped the fence of a random house and gone in through a basement window when he heard footsteps rushing downstairs. He quickly hid.
Alister watched as a girl rushed to make sure all the windows were latched and turn off the lights down there.
He could practically feel the nervousness and fear coming out of her. It excited him, but he held himself back. He couldn't do anything yet, not when he had just escaped and everyone was on the lookout for him. -
Henley chewed on her lips as she struggled with her phone. She had service before, but now it was gone. She breathed in deeply. Henley believed everything would be alright. I mean, what were the chances that this lunatic would break into her home? It was practically in the middle of nowhere, and isolated from everything else. Then, that’s what scares her the most.
