Spice pinned her ears back, looking embarrassed. "It was a nice gun!" she said defensively.

"I suppose it WAS a nice gun. If I was made to eat them, I'd eat it." I said, looking at a small piece of metal on the floor.

"The last time this happened, we found a way out," Spice said, swiftly changing the subject. "But it's going to take some poking around. Anybody up for a buddy system?"

"What do you mean the last time? This happened before?"

"It's complicated but yes," Spice replied. "And when one of us wandered off alone, they were tormented by demons."
