Thread Topic: An Elemental Catastrophe
-
Name: Marcus Bohr
Age: (between 30-50) 35
Gender: Male
Appearance: Longish short dark brown hair, one blue one green eye, average build, around 5”8.
Personality: Very crazy, has questionable morals. He tends to distrust many people because they are so sceptical about his work. Eccentric, friendly to those he knows and trusts well.
Likes: Experimenting with numerous elements, and obviously francium
Dislikes: People who don’t trust his theories, unreactive elements
Why they’re so crazy: His parents were keen scientists, so he’s basically been brought up in a lab all his life. Which may or may not have caused him to have exposure to many strange chemicals that have gradually caused his insanity.
Quirks: Everything.
Favorite element: I think we all know that by now.. -
Ready to roll

( kk, who's gonna start? )
-
( also, sorry if my responses after this are a bit late )
-
You can if you want?
-
That’s ok, I’ll be a bit slow too
-
( Alr. Could you maybe start? I don't really have any ideas for how to start this one lol )
-
Ok I’ll try haha)
Marcus stood nervously in front of a large container of water, holding a metal box in his hands. He set it down on his lab table and cautiously opened it. This was the moment he had been waiting for, and finally the day had come. He typed in the pass code ‘8722’, and the lid of the metal container clicked with confirmation. Marcus removed the lid to the mysterious box, and smiled gleefully as he retrieved what seemed to be a mundane rock from inside. -
( wait, quick question, so are we starting before the whole incident? )
-
Yep.)
-
( alr just wanted to make sure lol )
Ashton walked out of their work apartment, walking down to their car. Another lame-ass work day, checked off, they said sarcastically to themselves, unlocking their car and getting in, heading back to their place. -
All good)
Marcus carefully lifted the small red speckled rock out of the box and inspected it with eager eyes. He turned away from the lab table and faced the container of water. At this current time, he was the only possessor of such a rare element, and he prided himself with the prospect of that for a few seconds. “It is said that francium is one of the most reactive elements on Earth” he declared proudly. Of course, no one calls him crazy for no reason- and so he was talking to himself. -
( so sorry for the late reply!! )
Ashton got out of their car, outside of the apartment building they lived in. They made their way inside, walking into their room and flopping down on their bed. They ran a hand through their curly hair and sat up, grabbing their laptop to work on some editing for their job. Just like usual. Their boring schedule, over and over again.
( idek what i'm typing lmao ) -
Marcus took a step towards the water, staring at his beautiful rock. Momentarily distracted, he slipped on a small puddle of spilt water on the floor, the francium went flying out of his hand and into the water. He looked up and cried out, “NO!! That wasn’t meant to happen! Damnit!” The crazed scientist quickly made a beeline for the door, at the same moment at which the room was filled with a massive explosion as a result of francium contacting with water...
(Sorry I replied extremely late oop) -
