artemis nodded, even though howl couldn't see her. "so, whats texas like?" she asked, curious

"hot, and dusty as all hell." Howl said. She grabbed some paper towels and wiped muddy water off her shoulders and chest. Then she wiped off her face

you must have been burning in that heat" artemis replied

"not really, I grew up there, so I guess I have heat resistance." Howl said

she chuckled and replied"fair, it gets really hot here in nevada from what i remember, also i get daily weather reports so that helps"

"I never really looked at weather reports. Wait, why do you look at weather reports, you can't even go outside." Howl said

boredom" she replied, chuckling

"I guess I'd check the weather too." Howl said. She dried off her face and left the store.

where are you right now?" artemis asked

"outside of a gas station, I got splashed by some jerk while walking." Howl said with irritation in her voice

i meant, like, what town" she said, giggling

"somewhere around aurora, I've just been walking. I would catch a bus if I knew where any of them stopped." Howl said trudging past a small questionably loud building.

oh yeah, your pretty far away" artemis sighed

"I'm sorry." Howl said. She saw some buses going ahead of her to wherever they were going

no no, it's fine, i just can't wait to finally get out of here" she said, leaning her head against the wall
