``Nice name, Emma,`` Aiden said with a smile, taking a hand out and extending it. ``The name's Aiden. I'm sure you may already know that, since I'm considered one of the most popular kids in school.``

"Actually no, I don't really pay attention to your type," Emma said in response.

"Quit bragging, just say what you want, then get out of here," Nick said. For some reason Aiden wasn't sitting well with him.

Aiden nodded, pocketing his hands again. ``Sorry. I was just wondering if you'd like to go out for lunch one day, Emma,`` he said, turning to look at her.

Emma had no idea why, but she found herself saying the word, "Sure."

Aiden smiled, pleased with her response. ``Great! When are you free?`` he asked, shifting his weight from one foot to another.

"Saturday. I have a thing with Nick later that day but I'm free for lunch."

``Great,`` Aiden said with a smile. ``Well, I'll see you then. or maybe later, because I think we have classes together. Anyways, see you!`` He said, walking back over to his friends.

As soon as Aiden was out of earshot, Nick said, "I don't know, I don't trust him."

"See ya," Emma said. She turned to Nick. "Oh don't be such a party pooper; It's gonna be my first date," she told him with a small smile.

Nick frowned. He didn't want to take something like this away from her, but Aiden didn't really seem like a good choice

The bell rung. It was time for class. "Come on, we gotta go to science."
