gypsy paced back and forth in their room, double checking that they had every thing they needed for 8th grade.once they were sure they had everything they sat on their bed and played with the red string on their hand, wondering if they would meet their soulmate soon

Shan walked towards the school bus, fiddling with the thin red string tied onto her finger. She was terrified, knowing that she had a soulmate. She didn't know what to do. And what terrified her, even more, was the fact that she had no idea who it was and when they would meet them.
