"Good boy!" Landon praised before holding a treat up to his snout. Bruce gulped it up immediately, savoring the sweet taste as it slowly but satisfyingly melted down his throat. His tummy lurched for more as the treat's delicious taste has gone away, but he held back with his tail wagging wildly.

The gentle expression of the mute woman who took care of Iris, known by the few she spoke to as Laylee Norton, patted her dog's head softly and shook her head before hauling Shrimpie, a bony yet colorful cat off of her legs.

Suddenly, a loud static noise had erupted from Landon's back pocket. Bruce cocked his head, a little confused, before he realized what was happening. A new mission was being set up.
"Mass shooting at city park; I repeat, mass shooting at city park. Over," a sound came from the small box.
Landon's forehead crinkled in worry, before he had gestured for Bruce to follow as he jogged towards his car. -

Iris liked Laylee. She was quiet and kind, gentle but firm when it required, and in Iris's eyes, the most beautiful woman on the planet. She had blonde curls that shone like gold and magnificent sapphire blue eyes, but most importantly she really LOVED her dogs. Iris was more than happy. Could this be her destiny? Laylee signed to Iris.
Go play? the girl asked. Iris jumped up and barked joyously in reply, bringing a smile to Laylee's face.
