Lovely, she was drowning. Once Adrian reached the edge of the water he leaped up and dove into the water. He was suddenly in shock of how utterly freezing cold it was. He soon recovered and started swimming towards the girl.

Elizabeth mentally scolded herself and took a note that it was bad to jump into a frozen-over river. She cringed as the cold water found ways to wash over her skin through her thick parka.

The heavy winter coat that Elizabeth was wearing was dragging her down so that even if she tried swimming to the surface of the water she couldn't.
Adrian was almost to her. He let out another burst of energy to reach her sooner. -
The blond-haired girl raised her head weakly to see a dark-haired male paddling toward her. She inclined her head, but then drifted underwater once more.
