Plot:
C1, an extremely beautiful mortal, caught the eye of Cupid (C2). But Cupid was told by his mother to stay away from C1. Curiosity overtakes Cupid, and C1 is washed away to Cupid's palace.
C2 gives everything C1 has ever wanted, and they are both hopelessly in love within a few weeks.
But there is one privilege that C1 can’t have.
C1 can never look at C2's face, because gods' true faces are not for mortals to behold. C2 is always invisible, unless he is sleeping. C2 reminds C1 of this every day.
So at night, C1 grabs a lamp and sees C2's face. The second they do, Cupid's mother (Aphrodite, or Venus—take your pick) comes calling, filled with rage that her son disobeyed her.
She captures C1 and makes her do five labors. Only then will C1 be allowed to marry Cupid.
C2 helps C1 complete all these labors right under his mother's nose, even though he is hurt that C1 beheld his face precisely doing the thing he told her not to do.
FIVE LABORS (you can make up your own, just make them terrifyingly hard if you do):
• Get beauty cream from Persephone (side character I will be acting as)
• Obtain a bow even better than Artemis/Diana's
• Bring Aphrodite/Venus water from the River Acheron (don’t worry, it has a branch in the Overworld)
• Defeat Orion (a giant)
• Sort a thousand grains poured out onto the floor into the right categories
I'll be acting as all the side characters/people mentioned in these labors/quests… unless you want to
Also, the people in the labors should not have CS's
If you don’t know Greek mythology, that’s fine
Cupid/Eros is the god of love
Aphrodite/Venus is the goddess of love
Persephone is the goddess of… spring growth, and also the queen of the Underworld. She's married to the god of darkness and wealth, king of the Underworld, Hades.
The Underworld is basically the place where people who died go. Not a very great place.
Artemis/Diana is the goddess of hunting. She has a fantastic silver bow that’s better than any bow a mortal could ever make.
Orion is just a giant. A giant that is quite adept at hunting.
