Plot:
C1 and C2 are both immortal elves, and the whole "marriage and family is forever" idea takes on a whole new meaning.
They are locked away and forgotten by one who once promised them an entire forest to themselves.
With nowhere to live, they have been stuck underground for ages until they wither away and die.
They are reincarnated as humans, but one's memory is wiped and has false memories of being in a relationship with someone else. Their "boyfriend"'s entire existence is a lie. If they went on a date, it’s not real. But they don’t know this, and they refuse the other person.
In this context, I guess immortal doesn’t really mean unable to die; just, I guess, resilient and not really allowing themselves to die. -
