Everyone was expected to keep to their norms in a world like this. It was always like that. If you didn’t, most people bullied you for it. Well, not anymore. It’s time to make a difference, one person at a time.
Jesiah laid his eyes on the flyer, then back up at the classroom door. Here it is. The club I was looking for... He thought, nervously messing with the corners of his skirt. A couple of people stared at him while walking down the hallway, whispering with each other and making comments. -
Alec walked around the school. He'd heard some talk of there being some sort of club around school or something like that. Well, if there was, he was going to find it and maybe even join it. He was pumped. Finally, he found a flyer. Bursting with excitement, he gave it a once-over.
But then, something disturbing came to him. Did he sign the flyer with his name? How did he join? Stroll into the room for the club? If there was a room for a club, where was it? Alec bumped into someone staring at a flyer. Jesiah, he thought, noticing his skirt. He gathered all his confidence and asked, "Um… is this the, er… uh… club for the… um, talented kids?" Innerly, he scolded himself for being so awkward -
