"Wow, you actually smile. Huh, this made me realize what a grump you are." he said.

"I wasn't a grump," Rasia said. "I was scared."

"Oh? What about that time where you yelled at me?" he said.

"I was still scared," she said. "I was still terrified. I was just expressing it a different way."

"Scared? Of me? How dare you." he said with an offended gasp.

"Well why d'ya think?" she said bitterly. She took another leaf and started tearing that one too.

"See, you're being grumpy right now." he said.

"I'm still scared," she mumbled. "It's not as bad as before, but it's jumbled up with all this other stuff that I...ugh." She wasn't sure how to put what was in her brain to words.

"Other stuff? Like what? Love?" he asked with a smirk.

"No," she said. "I just understand what you were doing a little more than before."

"Oh? What is that? Burying dead bodies, kidnapping people, getting into a bunch of fights, or just escaping cops?" he said.

"N-not that entirely," Rasia said, looking away from him. "I meant some of the things you did to me."

Axel was silent for a moment. "So are we talking trauma, attempted murder, kidnapping?" he asked.

"I'm not sure," she said. "I understand the things you did to me at first were because you didn't want me to call the police, but I don't understand why you didn't just kill me. Then the other time, you...I don't even know what happened to you. It was terrifying."

"I already said, it was a gene from my grandfather. Apparently he killed his brother and the person he loved. It was a really messed up situation." Axel said.
