The gods have faded or are fading from people's minds. What remains of them are their chosen ones, these chosen are the replacement for the gods. This is a battle for the title of "king of the gods" or for now, the replacements for the gods.

No, but they do have to be humonaid. Elf, dwarf, human, etc. If they are a giant, then they are human sized.

Powers: Excellent archery skills, can somewhat control animals.
Weapon of choice: Silver bow and arrows
Item gifted to them (magical, non weapon): The laurel, which can provide light only visible to herself and those touching her.
Item cursed by another patheon (non weapon): A charm that can cause the laurel's light to falter.
