“You get used to it after a few years.” Turner said in annoyance. “I hope you weren’t like that.”

"Not nearly that bad," Callyn said, looking back at the store. "Let's go somewhere else."

“Agreed.” He gave the limo driver directions to the nearest store.

"I guess I'm going to have to start getting used to this stuff?" she asked as the car started moving.

“If you agree to be my girlfriend, we don’t always have to do this stuff though. I’v heard fangirls settle down a little bit after you get a girlfriend.” He said.

"I thought we were faking it, saying we are but we're just friends," Callyn said. Then she realized something. "How long will we be doing this? Pretending we're something that we're not? Lying to people everywhere about who we are?"

Turner looked away from her. “Every celebrity does it. Don’t be fooled by what they say.” He said.

"How long?" Callyn asked. "Turner, I don't want to be in a fake relationship for years on end."

“Probably a few months. And before you say anything, would you rather a few years?” He said.

"No, I wouldn't," Callyn sighed.

The driver pulled into a parking lot. “It looks like we have reached our destination.” Turner said, getting out of the car.

Callyn got out as well. and wrapped her arms around herself as she walked. She felt like she was being forced into things again.

Turner turned around and grabbed Callyn by the shoulder. “Listen Callyn, I don’t want you to feel like you’re being forced into something you don’t want to do. If you don’t want to do it, we don’t have to.” He said, looking into her eyes.

"I don't know..." she said quietly. "I don't know how I feel about any of this, and you and your father fought because of me, I don't want to cause more trouble, I just...I don't know."
