"Nah," Jax lied quickly. "Just thinking about my science homework. I think I still have to get some of it finished... but it's due today." Actually, this was not a lie.

He fidgeted in his seat. "It's just a multiple-choice, I’ll figure it out," he mumbled to himself.

she nodded again and ate her pizza

Jax finished off his pizza and... well, pretty much killed his pepperoni.

Aspen didnt really try to make conversation

Jax was silent for a few minutes. Then, a thought popped into his head. "Hey, the prom dance is coming up soon. Do you want to..."

she smiled slightly "Id love too"

Jax shuffled nervously in his chair. "All right, then." (The prom dance is gonna be in 3 days, wanna time skip)

Aspen began to get ready for the dance she was a ball of nerves she has never been this nervous in her life -

Jax got dressed in a tuxedo and scrunched his face up. It was really uncomfortable, especially the tie. Also, he was extremely uneasy. -
She looked at the dress she bought it was a short black fading into blue

Jax opened the car door and drove to the dance. He saw Aspen. She looks so beautiful in that dress, he thought.
