Jewel giggled. “What did he do to make you say that.” She said, still laughing.

"Yeah, what did I do that makes you say that?" Henry asked upon entering with everyone else.

“Oh crud, he heard us.” Jewel said, glancing at Henry with a smirk on her face.

"A week before I left for America last you decided that I should have cornstarch mixed with water instead of milk," Adrian said.

“That sounds disgusting.” She said, wrinkling her nose in disgust.

"You fell for it, though," Henry said.
"You could have made it taste like milk"
"But that would have taken all the fun out of it." -
“Couldn’t you have given Henry something disgusting in return?” Jewel asked, narrowing her eyes.

"I just decided to let karma get him," Adrian shrugged.

“And it did. Hopefully karma doesn’t get me now.” She said with a light chuckle.

"Don't worry, I won't let it," Adrian said. "Sit down, everyone, the food's getting cold."

Jewel said a silent prayer in her head and took a bite once everybody sat down. “This is really good Adrian!” She said.

"'Course it is," Adrian said. "I made it."

“Maybe you should start cooking instead of Kendril.” She said with a teasing smile.
