Damon looked up at the new building that he would soon call his school. It wasn't what he was expecting, but it would do. Damon would be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. He didn't want to go in, but he knew he had no choice. It felt like Damon was abandoning Blackthorn just by being here.
He sighed, and started to slowly creep up the steps. Damon wondered what the inside would look like. Something in his mind told him that it wouldn't be as welcoming as he'd like. Damon stopped before entering. What class did he have again? He was never that good of a student. Damon checked, but forced his mind to wander off elsewhere. Did he have his lucky ankle bracelet? Damon knelt down, and pulled up his left leg's pant side. Yep, still there. He quickly covered it, as it wasn't exactly the most cool looking thing he owns.
Was Damon stalling? Yes. Did Damon realize this? That answer is certainly he did. His mind wandered elsewhere, anywhere. Did he look presentable? How is his sister? What happens after death? After minutes of pondering, Damon decided that he had to go in. He nervously opened the doors. -
Elise sat heavily and unceremoniously on her bed with a pronounced huff. She had a backpack in her arms, which was full of all of her worldly goods. She turned to look at her calico cat, Mimsy, who was playfully swiping at a tassel on her backpack.
She pulled him off, causing him to let out a pathetic mew. Elise hugged him to herself like he was a teddy bear, causing him to squirm uncomfortably.
"I just don't get it!" Elise said, talking to her cat. "I have to move out of this room and into someone else's. I wish that someone would explain something, ANYTHING!"
With her last exclamation, she had set her cat down, staring at the wall which seemed to stare back. She stood up, slinging her backpack onto her shoulder and lifting up her cat again. -

Avin arrived at blackthorn with a posse of boys his age. Filthy geese, Avin thought. He always reacted this way especially with people his age, but he was good at pretending that wasn't the case "so guys who do you think 'll be the hottest?" Avin asked to his flock of "geese." "Emil you probably know some girl from here introduce me to 'er." His least favorite goose said. This one followed him for years and never left, he'd been trying to kill this one for years. Avin was actually quite angry knowing that blackthorn was moving to whitethorn due to having a particular hatred to swans.

Maven was starting to fall asleep when the voice of the headmaster rang through the intercom. “All students report to the auditorium,” she said sternly.
Eager to get out of class, girls rushed out of their rooms and began walking towards the auditorium.
Maven wasn’t aware of too much, but she still had a feeling that she was about to receive some bad news. She found an empty seat in the auditorium, next to a girl she’d never seen before. Maven wasn’t the best with faces, or names for that matter. She didn’t know the majority of the students at Whiterose.
During this meeting in the auditorium, the headmaster of Blackthorn was arriving with their students. This would give the boys time to tour the school and find their rooms. Of course, they wouldn’t be able to move in until later that day since most girls hadn’t packed their things.
“Good morning, ladies of Whiterose,” spoke the headmaster as she appeared on stage. Her cheekbones were high, and her dark hair rested on the top of her head in a bun. She wasn’t the kindest woman, but she was sneaky, and everyone would give her that.
“I am going to be straightforward with you, students. I will not stall, and I will not lie. We have visitors today, and they’re actually staying for a while.”
Right, Maven thought. It must be young girls touring and getting a taste of the academy for their future reference.
Then, Maven felt shocked.
“The Blackthorn Academy experienced a disaster recently— a fire. This may be overwhelming, but until their campus can be rebuilt, they are attending their classes and staying on our campus.”
Maven could just feel the uproar coming. Girls were already talking their tails off about these boys. Some were complaining, others were simply surprised.
Soon after, the students were dismissed from the auditorium. This is the first time they would witness boys on their campus— assassins, actually. -
Jax heard the announcements, but ignored it. He didn't really care what the girls did or didn't do, he was just, so, bored. Where was the action? The excitement! His fingers tapped against the desk and he kicked back, putting his shoes on the desk.
Yawning, he checked his watch. Still twenty-five minutes till the next class. No way he was waiting that long!
Jumping up, he hoisted his bag onto his shoulder and ran out of the class, which happened to be right next to the auditorium. Girls were pouring out of it, and Jax, being distracted, accidentally ran straight into a fair-skinned girl with long, thick black hair and bangs. -
After that announcement in the auditorium, Alyssa now knew why someone was going to be moving into her dorm as the note had said. She was honestly surprised that the Blackthorns would come over here, but it made sense since this was the closest school to them.
Alyssa just hoped that the Blackthorn principal wouldn't see her, for however long they'd be here. She had inherited her dad's mess of red curls. She knew that that wouldn't be a deciding factor, but she was still nervous about it. On first impression, she resembled her mother more, but if you looked closer you could see she took after her dad. All she could do was hope and pray.
Alyssa cleared the thoughts in her mind and wondered what the girl she would be rooming with would be like. Would she have to deal with girlish drama, or would she have someone she could have fun with? She hoped that she would get along with them well enough. -

The announcement had blared when she had least expected it, causing her cat to fidget in alarm for a moment. She shrugged. "'Ask and you shall receive,'" she quoted, before walking out. She was moving in with someone and fumbled one-handedly for the piece of paper that she had been given.
