"I mean, you can starve, after killing more and more of my kind. Or, you can go to a place where you don't have to do any of that, and start anew. Without your father, or your reputation." Oliver looked at the girl. "It's your call."

"all go with you" she said then added "im Embry by the way"

"Oliver." He held out his hand, but quickly retracted it. "Do you hear that?" He whispered. "More elves. I'm gonna hide in the trees until it's safe." He went back up, hoping Embry wasn't lying, and that she would keep him a secret.

She turned toward the elves as they asked questions who were you talking too "nobody just myself" she said quickly

Oliver was a little afraid to even breathe. One wrong move, and it's over. He stayed perfectly still, listening in on what they were saying.

they kept asking questions the worst one of all as wheres your father "i dont know where he is" she said

Oliver was relieved that she was lying for him, which made him feel more safe. He was no longer afraid she was going to mention him.

they finally left and she made sure they were long gone before she said "come down"

Oliver quickly ran down the tree. "Thank you. Now, I know it may sound crazy, but you know the other kingdoms? We'll have to make our way there. I can take you through where I came from. There's barely anyone left for a quarter of the way, but no other places were as badly attacked after that. We'll have to come up with a plan."

"ok" she said suprisingly shocked by the trust she had in someone she barely knew

Oliver started walking south. He grabbed out a can of tuna from his little bag. "We'll be walking for awhile, want one? It'll be a long time before we get anything else."

she nodded. she was thinking of how mad her father would be if they got caught

Oliver tossed her a can, and took one out for himself. He used his teeth to rip off the lid, and ate the tuna within seconds. He never really realized how hungry he really was.

she looked at him slightly as she opened hers and then used her fingers to grab a bite
