  Snowpaw bounded off and bumped into Flypaw. "Oof!" she exclaimed, glancing up at him apologetically. "Sorry, Flypaw!"
  
  "It's fine," he said with a chuckle. "Excited for your first day?"
  
  She nodded enthusiastically. "Yup yup yup! I can't wait!"
  
  She sprang into the air, swirling around and spraying snow around her.

  Mosspaw watched Fernpaw sadly, who was sharing tongues with Icepaw. She was probably going to forget all about her sister and only spend time with the cooler apprentices.
  
  Snowpaw walked around and saw Frozenpaw. "Hey, wanna play?" she asked excitedly.
  
  Frozenpaw nodded. "Sure, I'll play with you!"

  "Okay...tag!" Snowpaw said, touching his shoulder and dashing off. Frozenpaw chased after, laughing.
  
  Cranepaw saw Mosskit looking sad and sat next to her. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked.
  
  "I was feeling lonely," Mosskit said, smiling at him. "But not anymore now that you're here!"

  Frozenpaw barreled into Snowpaw. "Gotcha!" he crowed. Snowpaw laughed and pushed him off, preparing to chase him when she heard a voice behind her.
  
  "Come, Snowpaw. We're going to train today," Newstar said. Snowpaw's eyes filled with excitement. Fallenstep showed up next to Newstar with Icepaw at his heels.
