Nib whimpered, curling up under a blanket. He wrapped his draconic tail around himself, shivering. The world was much colder than what he had expected, but he saw beautiful little lights in the sky.
He heard footsteps and held very still under the blanket, unaware that his little toes were poking out. -
Corinna stood in the doorway outside, a cold night’s breeze turning her face a rosy color. She shivered and stepped one foot onto the grass, she saw a blanket draped over some sort of lump.
Curiously, she creeped over and stared at the huddle, using a foot to kick at it. -
A high-pitched squeak came from the bundle, followed by a small hiss as a tiny clawed paw swiped at her, missing by inches.
-
Corinna yelped as she jumped back and grabbed a stick from their yard. Holding above the bundle, she tapped it with the edge of the stick.
-
Nib grabbed the stick, dragging it into the bundle. He shook the blanket off and innocently peered at Corinna, before poking her with the stick.
-
That seemed to bother her. Irritated, she picked up another stick- her weapon. The short girl used it to wack the creature’s head, not too hard, but definitely with force.
-
Nib giggled, grabbing her stick and chewing on it. He was hungry and her weapon looked tasty.
-
“No! Stop!” She cried, pulling the stick away. The sensitive seven year old sniffled, her hands dropping to her side and the stick falling to the ground with a soft thump. She rubbed her eyes, her belly sticking out a bit as she continued to sniffle
-
Nib whimpered, crawling towards her and rubbing his face against her arm apologetically.
-
I LOVE IT ALREADY ❤ ))
Corinna’s legs buckled as she sat on the ground. She removed one hand from her eye to peek at the creature, before whimpering and scooting away, acting like a creature as well. -
Same here, it's adorable <3))
Nib trotted after her on four legs, standing up on two to mimic her. -
Corinna shook her head angrily, “No.” She used her hand and flapped it around, trying to shoo Nib away. “Go away.”
-
Nib fell onto four feet again, bopping his head against her legs.
-
At 7 years old, Corinna wasn’t afraid of the alien like most adults would be. She let Nibs comfort her as she patted his head, almost like a dog would
-
Nibs made a sort of purring noise and sat down, his little ears flicking occasionally.
