River panted as she raced through the narrow line of trees. She seemed to be getting the hang of the repeated pattern of ducking branches and leaves, before she thoroughly tripped over herself.

Juneau lifted her paw from the lake's surface lightly, feeling the glistening drops dappled around her paw. Her sides steadily heaving, she looked back to see the pack was about to start the Moonlit Howl.

Thunder looked down to his pack, confident to lead it. He spotted Juneau, the omega of the pack. Snorting, he lifted his chin to start the howling ceremony.

Sunshine tilted her head, filled with enthusiasm. "How exciting!" She yipped, watching a flock of deer slowly pass by. With a swift instinct, she leaped out of the sagebrush she was hiding in, before attacking a nearby weak, elder doe.
