Sorry for not answering, had to go to my grandma’s))
Summer’s eyes widen at the random question. She sees tears streak down Hina’ face and she starts to feel anxious. “H-h-Hina...I-I-“ Summer didn’t know what to do, but she wanted to do something. So, she scoots closer to Hina and puts Hina’s body on her lap, hugging her from behind. -
It's ok))
"I want to go to the forest with you, and I want to help you train for hunting, but I'm just a yokai in a shrine." Hina said through sobs. -
Summer stays silent, but her ears droop and her tail falls to the floor. Summer finally speaks after a couple of moments. “You aren’t a Yokai in a Shrine, you are my friend, probably my best and only friend. And...” Summer didn’t know if she should say it now, but she really wanted to say those words. She was afraid she would be rejected, It’s only been a week, but it was now or never.
“...I-I love you...”

"I-i love you too." Hina said practically eggsploding. Hina was blushing an awful lot. -

Summer’s ears perk up. “W-wait, you do?” She asks stupidly. She blushes at both Hina’s comment and her own stupidity. -
"yeah, well ya big dummy!" Hina shouted while blushing.

Summer giggles. “Good, now we’re both dummies! Okay, now off meh, your taller and heavier than me, and I’m dying back here.” Summer says in a fake accent, lightly pushing on Hina’s back.

Hina gracefully stood up, before running up her tree embarrassed.

Summer stands up and runs over. Summer looks up and scrunches her nose, wagging her tail in frustration. She didn’t want to go up Hina’s tree without permission, so she just stood there looking up.

Hina got her blushing under control before floating back down.

Summer grins. “Soooooo, whatcha wanna-“ Summer hears a rustle and turns her head quickly, her ears twitching and her tail still. “What was that?” She whispers. That couldn’t have been a wild animal.

"I'll investigate." Hina said switching to her yokai form.

Summer was a little anxious, since she didn’t want something to happen to Hina. Her ears go flat on her head and she let’s out a tiny whimper. “Be careful, that didn’t sound like an animal...” Summer manages to say in a squeaky voice.

"I've dealt with yokai before it isn't a problem." Hina said before pouncing on the bush

She hears a yell, but It defiantly wasn’t Hina’s, from experience when they first met. “Wait...That sounds familiar...” Summer runs over and sees a girl, no younger than 13, with light brown hair and red eyes. One of her eyes was covered and she had a mark on her face. “Kala? What are you doing here?”
