"He was dumb," Harper mused, before hugging Victor. "But you're nice!"

Victor slapped harper off not responding well to being touched. "Don't touch me." Victor said

"But I want to hug you," Harper said, rubbing her cheek.

"I don't like being touched by anyone, hugs are invasive to me okay." Victor said

"What isn't invasive to you?" Harper asked, her wings curling around herself.

"talking I guess. I just don't like being touched by people, I'm not used to it." Victor said semi defensively

"You must have been touched by people when you were little," Harper said. "Don't people carry their fleshlings around?"

"actually I was rarely touched as a child, my mom didn't even give me hugs." Victor said

Harper pouted. "Why not? Even my mom gives me hugs and she's the Queen of Hell."

"my mom always felt hugs were restrictive, and she had a rare skin disorder." Victor said unphased

Harper seemed deflated. "That's sad. What was her name?"
