Cyne shook himself awake as he heard his horse Oaken let out a measly neigh. Two average-sized rabbits hopped across the fields near the rushing river. Their furs were brown in color with white under-bellies. Cyne shot up and quickly seated himself atop of Oaken. Unfortunately, he struggled to reach for an arrow in time and the bunnies had vanished.

Megan didn't follow the animals, she had a job to do. She peeled a few strips of bark off a nearby tree.
Then she got to a spot that was pretty barren of anything that could be useful. That's not to say there was no plant life, just nothing that she'd ever use. She decided to get through it as fast as possible. -

Cyne yelled out, “DAMMIT!” He could probably be heard from miles away. He was disappointed in himself and doubted his skills as a hunter- even if that wasn’t even what he was supposed to be.
-
Melissa heard someone yelling. Curious, she walked in the direction the voice came from. She got to the edge of a river. She was undecided on whether she should cross it or not.
-
In the distance, across the river, Cyne spotted a figure. He hesitated, then grabbed the reins of his horse. He couldn’t let anyone find him here. He’d be in trouble for sure. Oaken darted further into the woods, in an attempt to escape the figure’s sight.
-
Melissa thought she saw some movement, but she decided it was just an animal, or something. She turned away from the river and continued her herb gathering.
-
Suddenly, an arrow seemed to have been shot from the sky and it struck into Oaken’s side. He neighed loudly and collapsed onto the ground, bringing Cyne down with him. Cyne shouted, “Oaken!” He voice was filled with sadness and anger. Cyne was injured as well, but he didn’t care. In this moment, all he cared about was his poor horse.
-
Melissa heard a bunch of commotion from across the river she had considered crossing before. It sounded like there was trouble. She ran until she reached the river, then ran through the water on her way to help whoever was in trouble.
-
Cyne turned his head and suddenly an arrow pierced through his thigh. He screamed aloud, repetitively cursing. His offender was nowhere to be seen.
