Andrew wasn’t too worried, his sister probably got caught up with the sheep. He took a second glance to see that none of the animals were put away. He shot up and opened the window, later climbing through it. Facing the woods, he called out-
“Maya? Mayaaa?” -
When the girl said nothing, Keiran smirked even more. She was trying to show that she wasn't scared, and putting on a brave face. "Lock her up," he said. The creatures put her near a tree, and the vines from it sort of encircled her to make a large cage. She would be able to move around, but she wouldn't be able to get out. No amount of force or even the sharpest blade could get through the vines. Only his word.
-
Andrew felt a spike of worry shoot through him. Maya mist’ s snuck out. He faceplamed then quickly bolted into the woods, but close enough to home that he could see their cows and the barn. “Maya?”
-
Keiran waved his hands in a nonchalant fashion. The water molecules moved together. He was scrying. Using water to see different places he knew of at the present time. He went to where Andrew was. "Look, Maya, your brother's looking for you," he said, gesturing at the lanky boy. "It would be such a shame if he should join you, wouldn't it?"
He could tell the girl was terrified at the thought. -
-
Andrew suddenly felt slight shock. Maya couldn’t have too far in the forest. He’d still keep an eye on the house, he wouldn’t get lost- he hoped.
Andrew ran into the forest calling out his sister’s name, “Where are you!?” He cried out, tripping over an odd tree root. Cursing, he got back up and looked around. She was there, struggling and screaming. “Maya!” -
Kieran decided to have some fun. He sent his skeletons. They were swifter and stronger than any man, and would not die, even if you'd shattered them, they'd still come for you. They wore baggy clothes and some even wore a hat. He wouldn't have them take them in yet, but later.
-
*take him in
-
Andrew crept up behind the spot where his sister was, “Maya!” He hissed, trying to untangle the thick vines she was bound in. He tugged on them harshly, “Why are these vines so hard to get off?” He asked, desperately trying to release her from the hold.
-
Kieran smiled as he made Maya watch what was happening to her brother. After a bit, he said, "That's enough for now," and made the appiration go away. Leave her not knowing what was happening to her brother would make her even more afraid.
-
Andrew was now lost, the dark forest seemed to look over him. He whimpered slightly and hunched a bit. He had lost sight of the farm, and he had no way to get back- he’d never been in the woods.
-
Kieran could tell that his monsters were almost to where Andrew was. It was only a matter of time, now.
-
Andrew heart loud stomping, and it definitely didn’t sound friendly. He sharply inhaled and hid in a small tree hollow, his back pressed to the side of the tree. Maya was still there, but there was nothing he could do about it, besides wait whatever was out there out.
-
Despite what you might think about animated skeletons, they do have intelligence. Maybe even more so that the average human. They knew that the boy was hiding. They made their way to where they had heard something scrambling and rustling the leaves.
-
Andrew held his breath, and scurried out of his hiding place. Now, he could only run. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, for having long legs he was a fast runner. Andrew sprinted to the edge of the woods.
But not their edge, there was no farm, no house, no cows, no nothing.
