Julia had stepped out onto the balcony for a moment, relishing the cool night (or morning, or afternoon, etc.) air before returning to unpack. She reached the bedroom and froze, a box in her arms. No, that wasn't right. There was someone there. The box fell out of her arms with a loud thunk.
-
i’m so sorry for such a late response :c )
The thud of the box alerted Noah. He stuttered our an “ahh” as he dropped the cheese sandwich he had just made. There was someone in his apartment- an intruder. -
No worries!))
"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" Julia demanded, whipping out her kubaton. -
Noah held his hands in front of, obviously feeling scared. “Whoa, whoa..” He said, fearfully. “I think you got the wrong apartment,” his voice trailed off as he caught his intruder’s gaze. He realized how pretty she was, but he snapped out of it because after all, she could and probably would hurt him if she wanted to.
-
"No, this is definitely the one I rented," Julia said. She put her kubaton away, however, and silently assessed him. He was quite good-looking. Gah! What was she thinking?
"Um, who exactly are you?" she asked. -
Noah watched the girl carefully. This didn’t seem like a trap, so he responded slowly, “Noah... Wild,” he muttered. He didn’t even think about how messy his hair was or the fact that he was in an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants until he looked down at his sandwich. Aw, man.. My sandwich.. He thought to himself.
-
Julia had absolutely no idea what to do, or say, or whatever you were supposed to do when a guy was in the apartment you rented. "I'm Julia Liolen," she said. "Is...I'm sorry, but how did you get here?"
-
Noah hid a chuckle, then wiped his mouth with his sleeve. “I kinda live here,” he stated, raising an eyebrow.
-
Julia looked puzzled, her confident air fading. "But...they said that this place was empty. I'm going to call them right now."
After a brief discussion, she hung up. "They said no one lives here, but that's obviously not true, huh?" Julia smiling a bit. -
As Julia held her conversation, Noah began to rummage through the cabinets. They seemed a bit empty compared to his usual stock of food. He scratched his head and wiggled his nose.
When Julia spoke, Noah turned to her. “I live here,” he stated bluntly. -
"I'm sorry for intruding-" she began, but she noticed something slightly odd. She picked it up to get a better look at it. An expiration date on a candy wrapper was set oddly.
"Do you know today's date?" Julia inquired. -
“Hell if I know,” Noah said, closing the cabinets.
There was a knock on the door. -
Julia looked at Noah. "Should I get it, or should you?"
-
Noah smirked, “I guess you since this is your apartment.” He chuckled and leaned against the counter.
-
Julia teasingly made a face at him, before going to open the door. "Yes?" she said, as she opened it.
