(Sorry eggs! Let's try to stick to the posting order k)
"It's no problem really, ma'am," The guard says to Elbis with a disinterested shrug. "I'll open the gate in a second, just need to scan your ID real quick," The guard says. He walks back to his sentry post and takes out what looks like a scanner.
This was fine. When they hijacked the news van earlier, Cassian had unlatched Elbis's watch and replaced it with the reporter's watch. It was all according to plan and everything was sailing smooth. "If this goes south I'm gonna.. hey what's that, Ash?" Cassian whispers to his friend, pointing at the silver bracelet curiously. His voice was so low that it was barely audible, he didn't want to jeopardize the mission. -
(Yeah, also we did kinda skip Pheonix.)
Zelda awaited everything with anticipation, wondering how this mission would go. She looked all round and thought everything would be fine. -
(Skip me)

Elra watched the officer with an air of superiority and despise. She had learned a long time ago that doing so would lower your chance of being talked to. Elra couldn't wait till they could continue.

Ash looked at Cassian for a moment, and smirked. "It's a project I've been working on. It steadies your arm to make clearer, and much more dangerous shots." He could feel his heart pumping in his chest. He knew the amount of guards that were outside the van right now, but all he could think about was his past. When he stepped out of this can, he could have no fear, and no hesitation.
"No fear, no hesitation."
The voice pricked his ears and quickly he snapped out of it. Two guards were in front of him, along with a doctor in a white lab coat. "Now," The doctor said, snapping on a glove and grabbing a gun. "When you aim for a target, you shoot to kill." The doctor pointed the gun into an opposite room that Experiment AE-71654 couldnt see into. He could hear faint whimpering, then the gun fired. The sound stopped. "I'm not a murderer! Not like you!" He shouted, throwing the gun that had been placed into his hands on the floor. The doctor looked AE-71654 in the eyes with an evil grin. "Well, that can always be fixed, can it not?"
Ash shivered for a moment, keeping quiet. This wad a mission that he was just going to have to suck up and live with. If it wasn't for the friend sitting next to him now, he wouldn't even be here. As Ash thought about more things, his gaze turned to Zelda. "Hey." He whispered to the A.I. "Can I ask you something, if you don't mind?" -

Elbis kept her breath, she didn’t know if the plan would work one hundred percent and if she had to keep her breath in any longer she’d most likely explode.

(Adding)
Elbis kept her gaze locked with the guard, determined to sell the lie. Hopefully, all would go well and the team would be able to get into the building. Steadily, she turned to look at the others, expecting them to back her up with her lie.
She could only hope everything went well, if things went wrong she wouldn’t be able to be in a world like this, she only wanted to be a part of the rebellion. And she had done just that, now they just needed to complete the mission. -
The guard came back and scanned Elbis' watch. He looked over the scanner's screen, then back at Elbis. His eyes were suspicious as he studied her for a second, but after a sliver or two he just shook his head and cracked a smile. "You should update your photo, ma'am. I can tell you haven't in quite a few years," the guard said. He walked back to his sentry post and pushed a button, and the gate started opening for her to pass through.
Cassian didn't realize he was holding his breath until he finally sighed with relief. Ash had hacked the watch of course, and input Elbis's photo as an ID picture. Elbis didn't really have any recent photos though, they had to go into her old high school's database and find a photo from one of their picture days.
Cassian also found Ash's prototype interesting. If it worked it would help their missions a lot. -
Zelda looked at Ash and whispered "Yes, Ash? What is it?" Zelda was always intrigued to answer any questions any human had. Almost as much as she like asking them herself as it would always add to her repertoire of knowledge.
