This is a group roleplay.
What you have previously read were the last sane words of Arius Akuma. Those were not his last words before death though. He witnessed a cult attempting to rise Cthulhu, a beast so terrible just looking at it will drive anyone insane. While he was insane he still spoke the truth, sometimes anyways, but no one believed him except for a select few.
Hundreds of years have passed, it is now 2020. (just, not this kind. A more stabilized one) The few people that believe Arius have told his story through generations. The descendants of the same cult have successfully summoned the beast, but with it comes powers to fight against it. Five of the descendants of the people who believed Arius received said powers.
Let's get this out of the way, all of them know and believe the stories written by HP. Lovecraft
Power 1/C1.
C1 was an ordinary kid. The person who believes Arius in their family tree was a librarian, and that occupation has been carried out through the ages. They received the power to negate the effects of Cthulu, causing certain people to not go insane upon witnising the beast. Their power only seems to work on people they are close with or strong minded people.
Power 2/C2
C2 lived not all that ordinary. Their ancestor was a thief, many people tried to shake this job but none have succeeded. Everyone has been some sort of thief, C2 being the best in the family. They gained the power to put other people into a trance, simple by looking into their eyes.
Power 3/C3
C3 lived as much of an ordinary life you can when your family are private investagtors. C3 may not be the best, but they know how to get the job done. They're family always downgraded them for being the worst investigator in the family. They had received the power to enhance their own mental ability and status. The longer they have it in use, the worse the backlash will be. They can make themselves smarter but after so long they get dumber from how they originally were. They will return to normal mental state.
Power 4/C4
C4 lived a wealthy life. They're family wasn't extremely rich, but wealthy enough to brag. They didn't like being rich, made everyone think poorly of you just cuz you could get what ever you wanted. Well, truth is C4's family is hiding a dark secret, they're family sells stuff on the black market, never caught. They received a power similar to that of C3 but instead of mental it was physical. The power they hold is very similar to C3, the longer in use the worst the backlash. This backlash makes them weaker than they're original state. Will return to normal.
Power 5/C5
C5 had a poor life. They're family can barely feed everyone. C5 may be poor, but they are also the most generous. When they see someone in need they will help in anyway they can. The power they received was foresight. They know what'll happen before it does, often shown randomly and uncontrollable. It causes them to have headaches. The better the vision is, the worse the headache.
