"I might just get that really good internship," she said excitedly, her ponytail swinging.

Zach nodded slowly. "That's great. With what company or, whatever it is? Sorry, I'm terrible with, uh, business."

"Um, it's called Skizalift. It's a sort of outdoorsy resort place. I heard it's really good," she said.

"Ooh. I like resort places. So will you be getting any, like, free stays or anything?" Zach smiled.

"Maybe," Janice said. "If I do, I'll make sure you get a discount."

Zach grinned. "Thanks." He started, remembering something. "Oh no! I forgot to go and find Lee! Yesterday, he said he was going to go to the park in the morning, and I said I'd pick him up at about nine!" He glanced down at his watch again. "And now it's almost 9:10! I hope he didn't just head to school by himself..."

"Well, let's get him!" Janice said, taking off.

Zach, taken by surprise, was a little slow to follow, but once he did, he caught up to her fast.

Janice was always shocked at how fast Zach was she put on a little burst of speed in the hopes of getting there first.

Zach grinned at her attempt to catch up to him as he sped up too. He started to run out of breath, though, and he cursed himself. "Fine! You win!" he said as he slowed down. "I may be faster, but you've always had more endurance."

"That's why I should only take you on long races," she commented. "Don't worry, we're almost there."

He nodded, and followed her, breathing deeper than usual.

Janice looked around. "I don't see him. Maybe he wandered off?"

Zach shrugged. "Maybe he got bored and went to school by himself?"

"Maybe," Janice said. "It isn't like him to do that."
