Kathryn heard her brother give up. She went over to her computer to check her email. She saw one from the principal, that was marked urgent. She opened it up. As she read it, her eyes widened, and her mouth fell open a little.
Avery Rose had gone missing. -
"everything is ok with me." Ena said to the person who climbed into her tree. Ena then felt something was wrong. Ena looked into the forest and saw..... nothing. Ena didn't see anything in the forest but still felt a strong sense of foreboding.

Hollow got a little notification on her phone. She checked it and then gasped. She held her phone out so that Ena could see the message too.
Avery Rose is missing. Please remain calm-
Hollow turned the phone off before she saw anymore. -

Roman heard his phone buzz inside his pocket, and felt the vibration against his leg. He mumbled and reached for it, digging into his pocket. He was receiving texts and emails from several students at his school.
A girl named Avery had gone missing.

Poppy cursed as her friend didn’t pick up, until she got the notification that Avery had apparently gone missing. She looked back at the river bank, to find the entity gone. So she stepped out to walk back to school.
She heard a stick snap and broke into a run.
It laughed as it gave chase. -

Kathryn heard her brother trying again. She opened the window, and slid through it. She walked across her roof to the edge, then jumped a short distance to the roof of the garage, and since her house was on a hill, there was a 4-foot drop from the garage roof to the ground. She jumped. Then she went to the back door, and yelled, "I'm going out!" She didn't wait for a response. Then she started walking into the forest nearby. It was a shortcut to one of her friend's house.

"Well this is troublesome, Avery and I had planned a teaparty next week." Ena said calmly. She hadn't actually planned a teaparty with Avery, but she was inviting her to the teaparty.
