James woke up to the irritating and continual beeping of his alarm clock. He slapped it mercilessly and got out of bed, unwrapping a granola bar and eating it.
He heaved his backpack over his shoulder, waved goodbye to his family who had just crawled out of bed, and left to go wait for the bus. -
(Patience, it is a virtue.)
Leonard had some eggs with his family but ate them quickly so as to hurry up out the door and get to the bus, quickly. He put his plate away and then walked out of his house, stumbling on the step to the porch. He then ran to get to the bus. -
(Sorry. I'm impatient hooman)
Willow walked to her bus stop, kicking pebbles on the road. Some kids made fun of her, because she was known not to have friends. -
(Oof, I thought our characters were Willow's friends)
James saw Leonard running to the bus and ran over, waving.
"Leo! There you are, I think I forgot what we have due today," he said, an innocently puzzled look on his face. -
(They're supposed to be. I think Keyboard said that to make it sound like the other kids don't know that)
Leonard stopped when he saw James and looked confused when he said that. Leonard then said "We didn't have an assignment. It's only the first day of school. An exciting first day too. I'll bet even Willow's in a good mood." -
