Sgrios whined quietly

"Hey," she said in a soft voice. "Wake up, Sgrios. It's morning now."

Sgrios slowly started waking up, his movements being strangely sluggish

"Thank goodness, you're alive," Wren sighed. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired" Sgrios said after several seconds, making Vaitusi hum quietly in worry

"What did you do yesterday?" Wren said, an incredibly concerned expression on her face.

Sgrios flinched slightly and opened his lower eyes to look at her

"Vaitusi and I were dead, and then all of a sudden, we weren't," Wren said. "Could you please explain to me how that happened?"

Sgrios shifted his gaze between Wren and Vaitusi, who had moved to coil around both of them, for several seconds before sighing quietly. "I made a deal with Vale"

"What...what kind of deal?" Wren asked, feeling her stomach drop.

Sgrios looked away ftom them, his ears sluggishly pulling back as Vaitusi looked more worried

Misty whimpered, nudging Sgrios' arm.

Sgrios refused to look at them, seeming upset

Misty's ears folded back, upset as well.

"I gave him my magic" Sgrios said eventually
