"Yes..it was me.." Gambler looked into the guardian eyes.

Katima whined softly.

The Guardian tilted its head slightly before it spoke again. "interesting. I did not expect for it to have survived this long." it said before moving one of its large wings. The raven dropped the stone it had been carrying into the guardians wing. "so why have you come here. Seeking a reward for killing it?"

Katima shook her head as she trilled softly.

"T-to bring him back and wiping my memory for good.." Gambler said as he looked down. "i hurted to many people.."

Katima whimpered at Gambler and nudged him.

The creature looked confused and it lowered itself down, using its massive wings to prop it up "and why do you want to do that?"

" Because i love him , i would sacrifice myself for him." Gambler said. "just erase my memory so i can't hurt anyone.." he pled.

Katima trilled softly as she shook her head at him.

The Guardian made a low rumbling sound before it answered "do you know how a soul hydra is created?"

"is it by using many souls?" Gambler spoke.

The Guardian rumbled again. "Close, but not quite. A Soul Hydra is formed when one willing soul takes the souls of those who have passed in a violent way into themselves, creating a monster hell bent on vengeance. Most dont live for longer then a few days, but the one you killed was special"

Gambler looked down and fell on his knees, shedding tears. He whispered. "My Treasure.." "Then kill me to make him again.."

The guardian hummed quietly and glanced at the raven. "i can not do that. As i said, this soul hydra was special. The reason for that is because its tether was a child. A powerful one, yes, but still just a child. His village had been destroyed by a tyrant king, and he had been left alive by sheer luck. He came here to find a way to bring everyone back, so that he would never be alone again. So i did as he asked, and he became a soul hydra. But instead of seeking vengeance like the others, he returned to his village and became dormant. Untill you woke him up."

Gambler nods slowly, turns away opeing his wing flying out of the cave , heading to the ruins.
