In the time, before time, the Earth was once a land of prosperity, led by seven gods and goddesses. The fire god, Ignatius, gave humans warmth with his fires. Aysu, the water goddess, provided drinking water and fish to eat. Earth god, Haran gave mountains and stones for constructions with Celandine the nature goddess giving the humans wildlife to hunt. Along with Zephyr, the wind god, who blew mighty breezes to keep humans cool. Of course the most respected gods were the god of light, Kazuki, and the god of darkness, Melanthios, who gave the world day and night. With these seven gods working together, life was good for all humans. However as time passed, Melanthios started to grow jealous of the other gods and goddesses, especially Kazuki as everyone enjoyed his light more than his darkness. One day, Melanthios had enough. Before Kazuki could bring dawn, Melanthios captured him and casted a spell on him, causing his brother to fall into a deep slumber. With the eternal night, Melanthios was free to unleash monstrous creations to enact his revenge on the humans. However the others would not give up on the humans so easily. After a titanic battle, Melanthios was defeated and sealed in a cosmic prison. However, during the battle, the humans memory of the gods and goddesses had faded and many lives were lost, leaving them to live primitive lives. Along with that, Kazuki was still asleep and the other gods and goddesses lost their powers and immortality fighting and sealing Melanthios. They resorted to sealing their sleeping brother within an atoll and hoped that one day someone will find a way to awaken him. Doing this, the gods and goddesses went their separate ways to live among the humans.
Years later in 2020, five humans have been told in their dreams to go to a single location where it is revealed that they are the descendants of these gods and goddesses. Along with this, they are told that Melanthios has started to find a way to break pass his imprisonment and they must find a way to awaken Kazuki before this happens. If not, then Earth is doomed.
Rules:
All our characters at the current moment have basic elemental powers. They won't get anything fancy until we progress through the roleplay. So no mad skill levels when we just start the adventure.
All our characters have a birthmark that corresponds to the god or goddess they are descended from. Ex: Ignatius' descendant would have a flame on them as a birthmark

If so may I please have Kazuki’s descendant, or if not either Haran or Celandine?
I also have a question would the elements later lead into control of symbolic aspects of the element or just stay as basic “ you have fire and that’s it?” -

Puppet: First question, I'm afraid Kazuki can't have a descendant. He fell asleep before he could have any children. You'll have to pick either Haran or Celandine. Second question, yes, as the roleplay progresses, our characters would learn to control everything about their element. It is only basic when we start.

What I meant by basic was that we can't create the elements we use out of thin air like the gods can. Your character should be able to levitate water if it is already there but not able to make it rain from the clouds. Does that make sense?

Ack, I thought that would be the case but light is my typical go to if Earth is split.
I’ll go with Haran and maybe if nobody ends up taking her descendant Celandine?
The only thing I’m wondering is how the division would be?
Earth and nature are pretty similar but I’m assuming nature = Animals and the wild
And earth = earth? Just want to be sure. -
Because I’d like someone who can learn to use plant life offensively and rocks defensively but if I’ve gotten the divide wrong I’ll change the character plans.

I was thinking about being Ignatius' descendant. We'll have to wait and see if more people join.
But to answer your question about the division, earth powers would control stone or rocks whereas nature would control plants and animals. So you are right -
Ah! In that case I’d prefer to have celendina to begin with and if nobody takes him Haran?

This is such a coincidence, I have this fire character (I haven't hashed out his story yet but I was literally thinking that he could be the descendant of a fire god) and his name is Ignatius :00
But for this one I'm actually interested in being Zephyr? That is if no one wants them haha
