Character Sheet
Name: Princess Minerva Cassierra Susette of Silvera
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Personality: Minerva is gentle in mannerism and speech, and is very sweet. She is slightly reserved, always among her thoughts. She believes she has to hide her emotions from others. She is neither happy nor sad, but mellow and calm. She keeps a diary where she writes all her feelings, ups and downs. Behind the viel of concealment, Minerva is a bright, happy person, but she doesn't show that to anyone.
Appearance: Minerva is tall with light brown skin. She has long, dark brown hair, usually tied back in an intricate do. She is well-built, with long limbs. Her eyes are deep blue, and she stands slightly rigidly. Her lips are thin and her nose and ears are very small.
Powers: Earth manipulation, can make plants grow, can summon soil anywhere, can create a shield of plants and dirt, can hurl volleys of rocks.
Weaknesses: She gets tired quickly, can only use her powers consistently for a few minutes. (Would my weakness also be water, or did you mean something else?)
History: Minerva was raised in slight isolation, only going outside on weekends. She's never had a real friend, and never got much nurturing from her parents because they were so busy. She's always felt the burden of being the Crown Princess, and she doesn't think she is doing anything right. -
(Yeah she'd be weak to water. Also are they twins or just sisters)
-
ReeseButtercup Novice(Okay, she's also weak to water. I would assume so since they were separated at birth. I'm going to be really busy this week so my replies will be very slow, sorr!)
-
Name: Maeva (thought the name should be close to yours, cause twins)
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Personality: Maeva is very blunt, and will say things how they are, even if it hurts someone else's feelings. Maeva is sarcastic, and gets right to the point of what she's saying. Maeva isn't a fan of anything that gets her dirty. Maeva is immature when she's herself, but when she has to be formal she is quite polite.
Appearance: Maeva has light brown skin and has dark brown(appears black) hair. Her hair is always down, medium length and quite messy at times. She has a half bang on her right side. She is average height. Her big eyes are light blue, and the rest of her face is a tad smaller than average, but not too little.
Powers: Water manipulation, can turn water to ice or ice to water. Can create a decently sized iceberg shield.
Weaknesses: Maeva is very slow and is not evasive at all. Earth manipulation. Maeva has to store energy to create such icebergs, and it will take a while for her to recharge.
History: Maeva was sent to Earth when she was a baby. She had someone from Silvera take care of her until she was able to fend for herself. Maeva was always told she couldn't have her identity known to anyone else, as it could put a target on her back. She lives in a secluded cabin by a lake. To keep her identity a secret, sometimes she gets shipped money to use to buy food, and can't have a bank account. -
ReeseButtercup Novice(That looks great! I'm so sorry for the delayed reply. Should I be sent to Earth to get you? Do you already know about the War? Thanks for waiting!)
-
(I think it would be more possible for Minerva to go to Earth because there's no one to tell Maeva)
-
ReeseButtercup Novice(OK, I will write a post after Church, so in two hours.)
-
(Ok)
-
ReeseButtercup Novice(Oh sorry, I just had one more question! So Maeva knows that she has powers, that she's a princess and that she has a sister? I think that Minerva would definitely know about her powers, but not her sister because of safety reasons, right? Or what were you thinking? Sorry, I promise this is the last question haha!)
-
(Maeva is aware of her powers. She is aware that she is a princess, but does not know what she is the princess of. Does not know of Minerva.)
-
ReeseButtercup Novice(Great, here is the post, finally!)
"Your Majesty?"
The anxious voice of Minerva's Lady-in-Waiting brought her head up from the ink well. She had been writing a friendly letter to the Troll Kingdom reminding them of the agreement they had not to capture each other's subjects. The task was distressing, and Minerva was glad for the distraction.
"Yes, what is it?" she called.
"The king and queen are requesting your presence right away. You must make haste!" she stressed.
Minerva's heart jumped. The king and queen? She never saw them, except on weekends. Even then, their conversations were empty and casual. She wasn't sure if they loved her or not. Minerva's legs began to shake. Were they angry at her?
"What are they requesting me for?" she asked.
"I'm not sure, Crown Princess, but you must hurry!"
"Alright, I'm coming." said Minerva, her voice a few pitches higher than usual. She jumped to her feet and threw open the door. High-heeled shoes clicking, she rushed down corridors and around sharp turns, her thoughts churning like a rapid river. What if she said someqing wrong? What if she wasn't doing enough?
Minerva halted as the door to the Royal Recieving room came into view. With trembling fingers, she knocked lightly on the door. As she waited for it to open, she pondered the conversations the Royal Family had had. The king and queen had sometimes paused mid-sentence and changed the subject, almost as if they were hiding something. They usually treated her like a prized china doll, and she secretly resented them for it. What a monster she was, to resent her own parents, the King and Queen no less.
The door swung open and there was Queen Susette and King Fredric, staring down at her. Quickly, Minerva dipped into a curtsey.
"Your Majesties." she greeted.
"No need for that." said the King, raising a hand.
"Come sit down." invited the Queen. "We have much to discuss."
Still nervous, Minerva entered the lavish room and sat in a firm, high-backed chair. Her parents joined her in similar chairs.
"I suppose we should get right to the point." said Susette, looking at her husband with a worried gaze.
"Perhaps I should tell it." said Fredric.
"By all means." granted the Queen.
"Minerva, I'm not going to sugar-coat this or draw it out; you have a sister from Earth."
Not wanting to interrupt, Minerva just stared at him.
"Earth is another planet, inhabited only by humans and mute animals. There is no magic, only something they call Science. But we won't get into that."
"Your sister is the only human on Earth who has powers. She controlls water. But the thing is, your sister was not born on Earth. She was born here in Silvera."
"I am sure you know of the war. It is very strange, and we need to end it before things get completely out of hand. You see, you and your sister are the most powerful humans in Silvera when joined together. Enemies would easily notice you. This is why we split you up."
"We never thought it would escelate to this. Creatures are rampaging everywhere, innocent people are dying." said Susette. "This is why we need to reunite you two. Here is where you come in. We would like... We want you to go retrieve your sister."
Minerva sat in shock. She had a sister? A tiny part of her realized that she would finally have a friend, if she was really going to find her sister. But how was she going to save everyone? It felt like a huge pile of rocks had just landed squarely on her shoulders, and Minerva felt as if she would collapse.
"Her name is Maeva." said the Queen. "We can conjure a portal straight to her abode. She does not know much, only that she is a princess of somewhere with extraordinary powers. We are placing it upon you to enlighten her."
"The portal will be waiting for you and Maeva when you return. Now we just await your say. Will you do it?" asked the King.
Minerva had no choice. She had to do it. She never dreamed that she'd be capable, but at least she had to try. All Minerva wanted was to make her parents proud. With all the bravery she could muster, she nodded.
"I'll do it." she confirmed. The rulers' faces broke into proud smiles and they both sight with relief. Minerva never thought that those smiles would bring her such joy.
"We will summon the portal, then." said Fredric.
The queen nodded. "I suppose so."
Minerva swore she saw them hesitate as they stood, stirring their hands in the air. A ring of glowing mist appeared in the center of the room.
"Good luck." said Susette. "You shouldn't have any problems."
Minerva was terrified. With shaking legs, she stumbled to the portal.
"Goodbye." she said faintly as she stepped into another planet.
She was transported into a thick forest, landing in a secluded clearing. It looked much like the forests in Silvera. In the center was a tiny cabin. Minerva was so used to the towering spires and stories of the Castle at home that the tiny home took her breath away. Once again, she was faced with an imposing door she had to brave. Just do it, she told herself. It will be alright.
She took a few cleansing breaths, stepped closer to the door, and reached for it. What if her sister hated her? No one ever really talked to Minerva, she might not even be pleasant to be around. She didn't know.
Not wanting to delay any longer, she knocked firmly on the door. -
Maeva got home after going to the store to get food. She had to clean her home, as things were getting too dirty for her liking. As Maeva gets her duster, she hears a knock at the door. Maeva has always been told to be weary of strangers. She takes a peek at the stranger through her window. That girl looks eerily similar to her. Maeva has never met someone who looks almost exactly like her. She hesitates, but then opens the door. "Who are you exactly?" Maeva puts her hands on her hips.
-
ReeseButtercup NoviceAs the door swung open, Minerva took a good look at the girl. She looked very similar, except Minerva wore a bright blue dress, long and silky with puffy sleeves, and Maeva was wearing something different entirely; clothes she had never seen. Even the humblest of elves wore skirts, blouses or suits and ties. Minerva's sister was very strange indeed.
When Maeva demanded her identity, Minerva was caught slightly off guard. No one had ever spoken to her in that way before. Did Maeva not see the silver tiara placed on the top of Minerva's head? Unsure what to say, Minerva faltered for a few seconds.
"I am Princess Min-" she paused. Her name sounded so fancy compared to Maeva's. Suddenly self-conscious, Minerva frantically tried to think of a simpler name.
"Minnie. I'm Minnie. It's very lovely to make your acquaintance. May I come in? We have much to discuss. I know you may think I'm a stranger, but... Uh- well, I have some very important things to explain. Do you mind if-if we sat down?" asked Minerva uncertainly, stammering a little. She was a Princess. She had practiced proper speech before, but suddenly she was like a little child again, unsure and scared. Stupid, stupid, she chided herself. -
"Why are you talking like that? I'm not a CEO of a company." Maeva was confused, as this was not a place to show manners. She looked at Minerva's clothing. Who was this? "Name's Maeva. C'mon in." Maeva brought Minerva to a couch. "So, what's goin' on?" She asks curiously.
-
ReeseButtercup NoviceMinerva was slightly confused. "I'm sorry." she said, blushing.
The cabin seemed very plain to Minerva, but perhaps her eyes were just used to the gaudy, bright decorations of the Castle. She sat down on the couch, taking a deep breath. She remembered how her Father had handled the situation; he was blunt and outright about it. But how could Minerva posibly do it like that?
"This is very complicated, I don't know where to begin... and you might not believe me. But if you could kindly let me finish, all of this will be over sooner, and you won't have to here me talk as much." she said.
"Now, I know this may sound strange but... I am the Princess of a kingdom in another planet. It is called Silvera, and it is..." How would Minerva explain it? "It is full of many magical creatures, including magical humans. I am sure you are aware of your powers? I can manipulate the soil, plants and rocks. You are also a princess in that planet. In fact, we are twins. Our parents separated us at birth so we could keep safe, because together, we are unstoppable."
"Now, I have one thing to ask of you. My-our Father asked me to come and retrieve you to... to come to Silvera with me. So... will you come with me?" Then, suddenly Minerva remembered something.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you the reason, I do apologize. Silvera has been in peace since before we know. And now... It is in turmoil. I suppose I will tell you about that later, but... Could you come with me?" she asked hopefuly. She was aware of how foolish she must sound, but she hoped Maeva took her seriously.
