Hey, so I probably won't be getting much more free time than sleeping for the next few days at least but I'll try and respond when I can...)

Merlin sat with his eyes closed as he felt the movement around him. The guards had with him, he could feel how tense his body had become being surrounded by strangers from another kingdom, it was odd and he was somewhat scared/ very scared of these people. He was told that he would be greeted by the royal family once they arrived at the castle, he thought that was very nice but also would have appreciated being left alone for a few moments.
The air here felt different, he couldn't explain it, the trees were the same, the air was fundamentally the same but it felt different. It was like it was strangling him. He had been so distracted by his thoughts he hadn't noticed that they'd stopped, "Mr. Sunn, we're here." Merlin jumped at how sudden the guard's voice was, her voice was rough and scratchy like she had inhaled a ton of smoke.
"Uh, thank you." He said and got out. He looked up at the castle and pure fear flooded through his body, "For the best." He mumbled to himself as he pulled some hair over one shoulder fiddling with it. -
