Jack and Freyja heard the large woman and saw her point to them. Jack said "Well then I guess it was a good thing I bumped into you two. Now We're chosen ones." Freyja said "This should be interesting."
-
Moonyoung waits for a moment before trying again. "Okay, listen. Are you gonna let me finish my sente-" Hitanaku interrupts again. "All of the clairvoyants foresaw it. The end of times as we know it! We will be all be nothing if the chosen ones cannot save us!" She says. Moonyoung looks just about ready to punch something.
Kaiqen groans. "That girl's right," Kaiqen is referring to Aysa, "Why are we the chosen ones? I've never even seen some of these characters before today!"
Hitanaku tsks and lifts all of her arms in a grand pose. "It is all foretold! The heroes have already been decided! You cannot change your fate, I've seen the future, and only you all together can stop this madness." -
Captain lifted a nonexistent eyebrow and looked around the room at the others that had been pointed out while Naifu sighed. "Damn it, and here I was hoping I could avoid doing anything else for the rest of the day
Pheonix shifted again and lept up onto Hitanaku's shoulders as some kind of oriental dragon with gray scales that darkened to black as she spoke. "And what, pray tell, are this manly band of idiots supposed to do. Go yell at some people about friendship and magically fix things? Or maybe we need to go find a rare plant and shove it down someone's throat? Or kill people? I like the last one" -
(Manly was supposed to be measly, but I'm not fixing it)
-
Margaret shifted uncomfortably. "I just don't think I'm very well suited for this. I'm not as young or... colorful... as some of the others. I'm just not up for an adventure."
Aysa sighed and shrugged. "You know what? Fine. Let's go. I have literally nothing else to do other than sit here and rot for the rest of eternity. Or until I disappear too." -
Jack jumped and said "Yeah, let's do this." He then thought for a moment and said "Hey wait, that guy's right, What are we supposed to do?"
Freyja wasn't really used to having her fate dictated but in these uncertain times, it's likely fate has finally caught up. So she just remained quiet. -
Hitanaku swats away Pheonix. "You're supposed to travel to the human world," Hitanaku answers Jack grandly. She then turns to Margaret. "I'm afraid the fates have already decided for you, child. My vision does not waver, I saw you all crossing dimensions in order to save us," Hitanaku says.
"Save yourselves," Moonyoung says. Finally! A sentence she finished around the giant lady. "Yeeeaaaah, I'm gonna have to agree with the pink haired girl," Kaiqen says, "We're not exactly equipped for this," she says with a shrug.
Hitanaku slams a hand down on the ground, making the entire room rumble. "I don't think you quite understand. Already the more well-known characters have begun fading. It's only a matter of time before you fade as well. There will be nothing and no one, and none of us know why it's happening. Wanna be lazy? Fine. It's YOU that you're saving as well, not just all of us." -
Pheonix giggled as she was swatted away, twisting in mid air and floating. "Well, it certainly sound much more fun then staying here!" She chirped as she bared her teeth in a grin that looked way to big for her head
Captain gave the shape shifter an odd look before he sighed "stars damn it this is starting to sound like a lot of paper work. f--- it, I'm in." -
Margaret sputtered a bit, not sure what to say. Aysa, however, perked up at the mention of the human world. "You mean a chance to leave this place? To see what it's really like out there? I'm totally in." She turned to Margaret. "Come on, you've got to be interested too. I mean, look at this place! All this place is is a chance to sit around and do nothing for an eternity." She turned to address the others as well. "Look at me! I'm an Unfinished. And I certainly don't see whatever stupid twelve year old crated me coming around to fix me up. The best I could ever hope for would be to move to the Marysue section, or maybe AO. I want a real adventure." Margaret sighed and stood up.
"I didn't expect this. Although, there are a lot of things I didn't expect. Regardless, you're right. There is nothing else. Nothing for us, anyway. My story is over. That doesn't mean someone else's has to be." She took a deep breath and nodded her head. "I'm in." -
Jack's excitement quickly turned to despair as he was told they needed to go to the human world. He said "The human world? I can't go there. I might be hunted cause I stick out like a sore thumb. Worse yet, I can't call my team to help me if I need it. I'm nothing without Team Horizon."
(I didn't want to ask earlier because I didn't want to sound annoying or I thought someone would say something but what do you guys think of my drawing of Jack the Vulture? Anything I can improve or something?) -
(It looks good, nothing is technically or atomically wrong with it and the colors work well together)
"Good, good," Hitanaku says as the chosen ones start agreeing on going. She looks curiously at Unnamed, but they are staring right back at her, not saying a word. It kind of creeps her out, so Hitanaku instead turns to Jack, "I did not foresee your team going with you, there must be a reason that you were chosen for this and not them. Don't worry about sticking out, for now we need to focus on transportation."
"Why do you think they chose us? Or, well, not 'they'- you know what I mean!" Kaiqen asks Moonyoung. "Oh, you're still here," Moonyoung remarks. Somehow, they were acquaintances now. "Well, it's not because we're the toughest or smartest.. I honestly don't know," Moonyoung shrugs. -
Captain heard Jack talking and looked over at him "hey pal, your not the only one that'll stick out" he said flatly as he reached out and grabbed the back off Kaifu's shirt when he tried to walk off
-
Margaret thought for a beat. "Wait, how do we get to the real world? There's no exit here, just an arrival area. There must be some way to get out?"
Aysa shrugged. "Who knows?" She looked back at Hitanaku. "Well, she probably does." -
Jack now was worried. He had just hoped that they could solve the problem in this world. Going to the human world was dangerous as far as he knew. However, he knew he had to help in someway even if it meant going there. However, he still needed to tell his team they can't go with him this time. Hopefully he'd get that chance.
-
"Of course there's a way out!" Hitanaku replies to Margaret. "As you all know, there are plenty of characters with portal or interdimensional powers, but none of us have ever been to the human world. Why could that be? It's because we've always been blocked from being able to travel there, since their world doesn't have magic and there's no way to open a portal there. What no one has figured out yet though is that we actually can go. Atleast, now," Hitanaku explains.
Moonyoung wasn't liking the sound of this. "What do you mean, now? Can the connection to our world and the human world stop again? What if we get trapped in the human world and can't open a portal back?" She asks.
"Ah.. it's best for us not to talk about it so.. publicly," Hitanaku glances around the AO common room, with the crowds gathering. "Follow me, chosen ones," Hitanaku instructs. In one flourish motion, she grandly turns and leads them down a hall.
