Soon, she realized most of the bodies were truly dead monsters. She was relieved, but also kind of sad. That means the gatekeeper was going to leave. She was always the elite. Nobody wanted to get close to her. But this monster...it was interested in her.

The gate keeper picked up the last body and looked back at Kaylee " what's making you sad" he asked

Her eyes widened. She had shown no sign of the sadness that she was feeling. "Its nothing really." She replied nonchalantly. She could not like monsters. She was an elite monster killer.

He threw the body in the gate and shut it then turned around and spoke " it's a volunteery choice whether I go or not"

"Is it really safe for you here?" She asked. "Someone could find you and-" she stopped. She wanted what was best for the gatekeeper, and felt conflicted.

" I could wear a disguise and hide in your secret base" spoke the gate keeper

"Would you be happy there?" Kaylee asked concerned.

" yes it's better than sleeping till the next time this gate somehow opens and who knows how long that'll be " said the gate keeper

"Okay." Kaylee replied. She wanted him to be happy. "Let's head back to the base; or shall I say your new home?"

"Lead the way " said the gate keeper

They head to the base. "We should make this place look more like a home. Maybe a little bed, some stuff to do. What do you think?" She asks.

"What kind of stuff do you want? I can see if I have spare. Or...you could just come to my house. I think I have a spare room." Kaylee added. It might be nice to have a roommate. Nobody really visits her, to everyone else she's just a leader, not someone to get close to.

" I'm not picky but if we use your spare room that saves us some work" said the gate keeper
