Ah, so Aphrodite is unable to do anything because of the laws the king of the gods, Zeus set.
She’s not to interfere directly with her children, unless they seek her out.
It’s not that he’s not allowed to, it’s rather, he is actually unable to interfere, something is preventing it.
Presumably the hunters have made sure JD has thousands of devil repellent items hidden in their person at all times.
( which also explains why they haven’t figured out they’re the Jersey devil yet.) -
