(I could just give you an online copy since I’m writing it on the computer.)
Joseph, the hunter, was walking through the forest seeking out fairies that lived there. He had an iron net to catch them with, since iron burns fairies. He walked stealthily and stayed close to the ground, waiting for one to come out of hiding. Soon, a fairy flew down to the ground for a peach that had fallen on the ground, and the iron net fell on her, causing her to scream and pass out, the hunter chuckling. -
(That could work.)
Halcyon was seeking some respite among some flowers in the ground with butterflies on them. He stared at them while they took nectar and pollen from the flowers. Soon he heard a scream, not too far from where he was. He followed the source to a hunter with a fairy in a net. Halcyon couldn't just let the hunter kill a defenseless fairy. Acting on impulse, he tackled the hunter to the ground. -
The hunter groaned as he fell to the ground, looking at his attacker as he stayed at the ground to observe the creature.
-
(I just realized something with the book you're making. How are you gonna get past Disney's copyrights?)
Halcyon got the iron net off the fairy so she could leave once she woke up. He then stood up and went into a defensive position, preparing for the hunter's next attack. -
Can I join you guys?
-
(I changed the story to fit with the trilogy I’m writing. Instead of her being tied in with the Princess and the Frog, she’s tied in with Fairies that live near the rainforest and are genetically blind. Instead of Malefor being tied in as the son of Maleficent and The Horned King, he’s the Prince of the Vampires, and his parents are corrupted rulers that took over the world at the end of the first book. So he isn’t doing the whole villains win spell but he is on the villain’s side at first.)
The hunter switched the iron bullets for a tranquilizer dart, aiming it at the creature and shooting. -
(Oh, I see.)
(I don't think so Weird)
Halcyon wasn't fast enough to dodge all the darts. One hit his arm and one hit his leg. He was only able to pull the one out of his arm before he passed out. -
The hunter sighed in relief, putting away his weapons. “What have we got here...” He muttered, carrying the creature to his truck and examining it. “Retractable wings, feint scale prints on the skin, sharp teeth, looks like we got a dragon.” He muttered, putting a collar around his neck that would prevent him from turning to a dragon. “Finally, a gift that may please Cheria.” He sighed, closing the back of the truck and driving away in it.
Soon Cheria had the creature laying on the bed, examining him happily. “I was afraid Uncle Joseph would disappoint me. Clearly, I should have better faith in him.” She chuckled. -
Soon Halcyon woke up from his forced sleep, head hurting and eyes a little blurry. He could however feel that what he was sitting on wasn't the forest floor. It felt almost like a bed in a house. He rubbed his eyes to see a woman standing in front of him. He jumped back and hit his head on the wall behind him. He said "Ow."
-
Cheria giggled at the boy’s attempts, studying him. “Good morning my pet.” She chuckled with a smirk, thinking of the fun she would have with her very own servant.
-
Halcyon was shocked at the term pet and felt his neck to revel a collar. He sighed and said "I'm in a bad situation, aren't I?"
-
“No, actually. Your situations is quite good considering that you interfered with my Uncle’s hunting. You’re our servant now, manly my servant. You should be grateful. If it hadn’t been my birthday soon, he would have forced a transformation and killed you as a dragon to sell your scales and fire proof skin. So consider yourself lucky.” She told him with a smirk.
-
Halcyon scoffed at the human's perceived knowledge of his kind. He said "Killing me in dragon form wouldn't have kept me in it. I would have just reverted back to human and be completely useless." He then sat up on the bed and said "So now I'm your slave forever. Not the fate I would have chosen, but no innocent fairy deserved to be tortured with iron."
-
“Well, not forever. Just until I’m bored with you.” She replied. “Now... What should we do first...” She thought to herself. “You know, I think I’ll wait till I need your services. There will be good opportunities to have fun with this in the future. For now, just relax.” She replied before leaving the room.
-
Halcyon watched her leave and scratched an itch under his collar. He said "Well, if I'm trapped here, lets look at the positives. I now have a home to live in instead of having to sleep on the ground or finding a cave if it rains." He felt a little better more and more as he listed more positives about the situation. Such never having to worry about being hunted or possibly eaten by a hunter or predator and he'll always have something to eat now.
