Luna sighed as she looked out her bedroom window, remembering the night she was adopted.
She was a ten year old girl when she stepped out of the brick building, greeted by a lovely couple and their only child. The couple was unable to have any more children, but didn’t want their child to grow up alone. So they adopted Luna but... It didn’t go well. Luna was always cold and distant, she never felt she could love this family like she loved her own. This caused many fights between her and her new sister. Now a days she had become even more distant, and had spent the summer locked up in her room, only coming out to bring meals to her room. After her sister stopped some jerks from attacking her, getting hurt in the process, Luna had slowly been developing feelings for the girl. “Maybe... Maybe if I start fighting with her again these feelings will go away...” She muttered, knowing she would have to come out of her room when school started that week. -
Claudia say in her room, laying on her bed listening to her music as she just stared up at the ceiling lost in thought. Years ago, when her parents adopted Luna, she thought they would get along great together. But she came to find that it wasn't as she had expected at all, in the end. She still hopes that her and Luna can get along, but it isn't really spmething she expects from her diatant sister.
She was startled when her pet cat leapt up onto her bed and cuddled onto her stomach, curling up into a gray ball of fur on her, and she gently stroked the cat, which drug her from her thoughts for the time. -
Luna went downstairs for breakfast, deciding to eat with her ‘family’. Her parents were happy to see her eating with them, and Luna was relieved that Claudia wasn’t there. “Honey, do you think you could try to get along with your sister? I know that you must miss your birth parents... but we are here for you. We care about you very much, and it’s hard to see you two fighting all the time.” Her mother asked. “Maybe.” Luna muttered, eating her breakfast quickly in hope to be done before Claudia came.
-
Claudia stayed up in her room, she could hesr esrlier her parents preparing breakfast, which was surely finished cooking already, but she had just been too lost to get up yet.
Looking down at the cat, she smiled gently, before lifting him up and back down into the bed, as she got up herself, stretching, deciding to finally head downstairs to eat.
Smiling at her parents as she went down, seeing her sister there as well, who she didnt expect to be there. "Morning." She said, making her way over and taking a seat to begin eating her breakfast. -
Luna finished breakfast, and got up, but suddenly she was called to return to the table. “Luna, please sit. Now that you’re both here, we have a little surprise for you two.” Their father told them. “We got you tickets to the fall fair. We were hoping the two of you could go together and bond a bit.” Their mother told them. “Not interested. Can I go now?” Luna replied. “Luna, you can’t stay cooped up in your room all summer.” Her father told her. “I’ve managed this far.” Luna replied. “If you go, we’ll get you that guitar you asked for for your birthday.” Her mother told her. Luna sighed, looking at the table. “Fine.” She groaned. “But I ain’t speaking for her.” Luna chuckled, counting on Claudia to deny the offer.
-
Claudia sropped eating, looking up at her parents as they spoke, glad they had got them tickets to the fair, since she had wanted to go. "Uh, I'll go." She said, taking a bite. "I've wanted to for a while. Thank you." She smiled. Glancing over to her sister, she hoped that it would go well.
-
Luna sighed, knowing she was beat. “So when is it?” She asked as she took the tickets. “It starts tonight, and there’s a motel room you’ll stay in together overnight. It ends tomorrow night.” They replied. “Ok. Tell me when it’s time to go.” Luna replied, heading for her room to get dressed.
“Hmm... It actually doesn’t seem so bad... There’s a hay ride, a corn maze, a scare crow making contest, face painting, free food, a horse race, rides, games and you’re allowed to book the stage and instruments and perform. Now I just have to find out if I can do this while avoiding Claudia.” She muttered to herself as she packed a small suitcase for the night. She then looked through her outfits, wondering what she should wear to a fallfair. -
Claudia continued eating her breakfast, watching as Luna went up to her room. "I'll try." She said quietly to herself, hearing her parents talking to one another about finally being alone in the house. "I should get ready too, huh?" She said, pushing her plate away and standing up. She was about to head up to her room when her father stopped her.
"Claudia?" Her gather spoke.
"Yeah?" She replied back, turning to face her parents.
"Do try to get along with her, do some things together." He said.
Claudia nodded her head. "I'll try. I hope." She said, going back to head up to her room. "She's my sister after all, i want to get along with her.. its just difficult with everything." She sighed, shaking her head. "I hope tjis will help." -
Soon it was evening, near dinner time, and Luna was dressed and ready. She didn’t want to look like she was trying to look good, but she didn’t want to look terrible. So she through on something simple but nice before walking down the stairs. “So they have dinner there, right?” Luna asked, grabbing her suitcase.
-
Claudia took a nap after grtting some clothes and things together for the next few days, waking up to her alarm going off. "I guess its time." She said, getting up and getting dressed to leave, dressing simply before heading out herself, seeing her sister ahead of her and down already. "Soo, you ready?" She asked her sister, taking a hold of her keys to her vehicle.
-
“Yeah. Let’s get this over with.” She sighed, walking out the door, trying not to look at Claudia as she got in the car. She plugged earphones into her phone and plugged them in her ears, playing music in hope that it would help her distract herself from Claudia’s presence.
-
Claudia let out a sigh as she followed, getting into her car and starting off down to their destination. Glancing over to her sister as she drove the car, listening to the radio quietly play.
-
Soon they arrived at the fall fair, and Luna headed out of the car just before it actually stopped. This habit always gave their parents a near heart attack, but she hated waiting for the car to stop, she headed for the ticket booth, handing over her ticket before heading for the stage where she hoped to sign up to perform at some time. She looked through the schedule and found an empty slot during the picnic for lunch the next day. Happily she signed her name and what she’d be performing, getting it approved by the stage owner before heading off to look around.
-
Claudia parked her car and got out herself, seeing her sister already far ahead of her, knowing it would be difficult to find her inside, but she should have expected this anyway. Shaking her head, she locked her car, and headed inaids herself after handing her ticket over. "What do do?" She asked herself quietly, strolling around the place, looking at everything it had inside.
-
Luna sat on a bench waiting for when the tour would start. She purposely hid herself within the crowd as she looked around, noting different activities to try.
