Ellie was still very pale, having lost a lot of blood because of being attacked. The dog nuzzled the girl again.

“A few days? I mean, she’ll be okay, right? She - she has to be okay.” He mumbled, starting to let his emotions get the best of him. He couldn’t go through this again. He couldn’t bury another sister, even if the two weren’t technically related. -
Ellie was slipping back into the land of the awake. Spot slowly became more husky looking, but not any smaller clearly. “ ma...us....wh...s...ha....pp,,.ing” she groaned weakly.

Markus was at her side in an instant, taking Ellie’s hand. “It’ll be okay Ells, I promise. I won’t let anything happen to you, okay? You’ll be alright, okay?” he said quickly.

Ellie nodded slowly, wincing at the pain in her neck. “ i...tr...st..you ma..ku..s” she said slowly as she carefully eased herself into sleep.

Markus squeezed Ellie’s hand, kissing her on the forehead before nodding to Ember. “I don’t like this, but I have to trust you... thank you, Ember.”

Ellie had a small smile as she slept. Spot whined at markus, as he morphed back into his true hellish appearance.

Ember nodded and went to get the room ready as the cat walked up to spot

Markus sat on the couch, his eyes on Ellie as he sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. “What’s going to happen to us, hm, Spot?” he said, eyes sliding to the demon.

Spot boofed helpfully. The small young lady on the table seemed to be doing ok, but there was still the question of why? -
