Janus awoke with a yawn, checked her phone, and discovered that her phone had no service. And that it was cold. Very, very, cold.
She shivered and grabbed a blanket before heading to the living room. "G-gabriella?" she called out. -
Gabriela had been awake for the past few hours, unable to go back to sleep. She had wanted to watch TV to water time, but found that none of the channels could be caught, just a blank screen. Shivering, he snuggled up in her blanket, until she heard Janus speak her name. She looked back, seeing her there. "H-hi." She said quietly, followed by a cough, as she wrapped up in her blanket more.

"W-what happened? I thought that storm wasn't supposed to hit until tomorrow?" She whispered, sitting down. Despite living together, Janus was aware that she and Gabriella hadn't talked often.

Gabriela lifted her shoulders, moving her pegs so that Janus would have more room, bringing her knees against her chest. "I dont know.." she replied quietly. She was still freezing, even wrapped up in her blanket. "I guess they got it wrong...like always." she said to herself.

“Well this sucks…” she mumbled. “I’m gonna go see if we have any power. If not, I’ll have to turn on the generator, she said, getting up slowly and heading into the kitchen. Unfortunately, there was zero power anywhere in the house. They were in the dark. Literally.
Janus lit some candles, taking one to Gabriella, and tried to open the front door. It wouldn’t budge. -
After Monday, I might not be around until that Friday)
Gabriela followed Janus with her eyes, taking the candle as she handed one to her. "Anything?" She asked, having placed the candle in front of her on a coffee table. -
“No. And we’re trapped inside.” She said quietly, her back against the front door. They had a lot of food, thankfully most of it frozen or dried so it would last a bit longer, but she couldn’t be sure how long they’d be trapped in here. “This is a disaster."

"I hope it isn't like this too long." Gabriela said, pushing herself up to her feet to stand. "Its freezing.." she whispered, shivering, as she paced slowly back and forth.

“S-same. Maybe we should... huddle together?” She said quietly, hoping her idea was a good one.

Gabriela looked at Janus for a few momentd, shrugging her shoulders. "It- it may help." she said, nodding gently to her.

Janus carefully sat on the couch next to Gabriella, scooting up beside her. Her face was red from embarrassment, because she had now decided it was a stupid idea to begin with and it was gonna be hella awkward.

Gabriela glanced over at Janus as she sat beside her, nervous. Knowing the two never did much or anything, really as she looked down.

"S-so, um, it's Gabriela right?" Janus asked. "How uh, how have you been? Recently?"

Gabriela glanced over towards Janus and nodded her head, nervous. "Uh..okay? I guess." She replied with a shrug, awkwardly as she adjusted herself where she sat at.
