Magic isn’t something to be taken lightly. It is both a powerful ally and a heavy burden. Its limits show only the boundaries of how far it’s user can reach. People test those boundaries each and every day. However magic isn’t something everyone can do. I fact some work so hard just to achieve a little bit of that potential. Everyone, with the exception of few, are born with magic. It is just wether they choose to tap into it or not that determines their magical abilities. Your soul is what powers the energy of magic. Some weaker than others, but souls do grow in many different ways determining the personality or mindset of a person. Your soul is your magic. If you loose your soul you lose your power.
In the realm of Sayerhia, the previous information applies to their way of life. Sayerhia is known for its magical properties and potential. Its reign holds strong thanks to the 5 kingdoms of magic: The Prinia Kingdom, The Mikha Kingdom, Aleryn Dynasty, The Ceadilium Empire, and The Razolux Kingdom. Each kingdom specializes in there own field of magic.
The Prinia Kingdom-(summoners/shape shifters) a lush forest kingdom full of those who are Druid like but use the open world to connect with creatures and the magic within to summon beasts and allies. With that they can also change into animals.
The Mikha Kingdom-(elementalists) living in the mountains of Sayerhia, those who live here study the elements of fire, water, air, and earth. Only one element is chosen to be continued with for the rest of their lives, using the element in a vast majority of ways
Aleryn Dynasty-(Alchemists) scholars who live in the heart of Sayerhia, studying alchemy and herbalism. Their greatest desire is to learn as much as they can when it comes to the properties of magic and matter.
The Ceadilium Empire-(enchanters/blood magic users) another kingdom who lives in the darker caves woods of Sayerhia. They study enchantments as well as blood magic.
The Razolux Kingdom-(tricksters/musicians)
Living in the deserts this kingdom is all about the entertainment and trickery of others. Called tricksters they use charm magic or musicians who use instruments to cast spells
Though several differences and opinions they each unite to up hold their land all having something to offer.
One year while the alchemists of the Aleryn Dynasty we’re testing out new kind of godly magic, they had recently discovered one person had used this magic to summon a powerful demon into the realm of Sayerhia. The demon was speaking to certain magic users, through another realm in there sleep, and upon closer conversation, sometimes during the day! If the magic users gave into the demon’s sweet words, they would have the potential to learn the new magic of necromancy. The demon however was tricking these naive spell casters, into selling their souls to him, which they would also be giving up their magical potential. The kingdoms attempt to bring themselves together once more to stop the demon from poisoning their minds, but to no prevail...
Years latter the kingdoms have gone to ruin... all except the Ceadilium Empire, who’s castle was now over run by demons, as well as their territory. The most corrupt kingdom however was the Aleryn Dynasty.. the demon king who had originally poisoned the magic users minds rests there with the millions of magical souls trapped in his being, all the lower class demons to dye his bidding and torment the remaining life in Sayerhia.
There are 4 different rankings of these demons:
Rank 1: the highest is the demon king himself
Rank 2: the haze are demons of great strength and size who move so quickly that most struggle to spot one in the area while it moves. They act like brutes that wipe out magic users in mass majorities. They cannot steal souls so they normally travel with the rank 3 demons.
Rank 3: the scourge, demons who are sent out to find wandering magic users and steal their souls. They have red skin and long black claws. No eyes or ears but for a face it has a large mouth with rotten teeth.
Rank 4: the wither, magic users without a soul who act as spies who work for the demon king. They are the reason not many kingdom survivors talk to each other anymore.
As of today the magic users are left to hide and all those of their royal heir are left dead. They hide knowing one kingdom can’t take down the demon. But a great majority may!
Main story:
Individuals from different kingdoms are taken to the demon king, so that he may feast on their souls. They awake in the dungeons of Aleryn Dynasty and try to escape the ruined kingdom. After managing their escape they try to find a way to hunt Down the survivors of the fallen kingdoms to unite them once more in hopes of taking down the demon and sending him straight back to hell.
Note: I think it would be more enjoyable if, whatever the kingdom your character is a part of, you yourself come up with the details of who is leading the survivors and what new systems are in place for that kingdom. Your character may be in charge of the certain magic users but ask a head of time!
Damn this took forever but it was well worth it. XD

(... not that I except too much buzz from this but I like this plot, although it is slightly complex.)

Magic specialization: alchemist
Appearance: about 5’6” in height, tan skin, chestnut brown, wavy, short hair, little bit of freckles, and hazel eyes. He often wears a long sleeved white shirt with a blue cloak, black cloth pants and leather boots. He has a satchel in which he keeps his herbs and components.
Bio: Alec lives with the surviving group of people from Aleryn Dynasty. They hide out in the forest close to the original kingdom of Pinina. They however use their surroundings to complete make their camp look like a regular forest area. Although he is not the leader of the surviving alchemists, he is close with the leader due to Alec’s help in their escape from the kingdom and helpful missions of finding refugees.
Weapon: he carries with him a bow and arrows that he often dips the ends with poisons he’s created.
Weakness(es): is Gullible and too trusting during their first encounter with a new person.
Other: is an huge cat person. -

Magic specialization: Elementalist - fire
Appearance: bright orange hair that’s short and messy. He has green eyes and peach skin. He’s 5’9” and has a masculine body type. He often has a black shirt with on sleeve it. Around his waist is a belt with a fire symbol on it as well as black pants and shoes. He has a red fire tattoo that goes up his arm and into his dominant hand that the sleeve covers.
Bio: hides out in the mountains still living a little ways away from the original ruined castle of Mikha. The survivors of his kingdom think of him hot headed and dumb. But he’s actually quite intelligent and just a risk taker. He hates hiding and wants nothing more than to kill the demon. Because of this, he’s a bit of an out cast to the surviving elementalists
Weapon: great sword that ignites into flames under his control.
Weakness(es): hot headed and easily gets in trouble from rushing into things
Other: has a large appetite. -

Oh! Lol I actually made a Ceadilium Empire royal earlier today, I was gonna do this with another group of friends and ran her by them and they really liked her. Would you be interested in the idea of them being siblings?

Appearance: Dyed hair such a stark blonde it's almost silvery/white in color, and dark blue eyes. They always wears a grin, and they're tall. Really tall - almost 6 foot. They're kind of lanky because of it. Add their shoulder length hair and snarky remarks and you've got yourself one strange specimen.
Bio: They live in the ruins of Razolux with a handful of other survivors, where they scavenge for food and supplies. Once killed a Rank 3 demon, earning them some respect and a leadership role.
Weapon: Their sharp wit (and their sharp dagger)
Weakness(es): Somewhat overzealous, thinks for themselves rather then anyone else, including the people they lead. -
